Hello everyone, long time no see. If you’ve been following me over on my main tumblr @stem-cell or my twitter you’ll know that i’ve been working on a new webcomic.
And Then Everybody Died is a supernatural horror comic about a witch named Clover and the 158 year old vampire boy he’s raising in his small northern English town. Their simple life is turned upside down when a feral vampire starts decimating the local wild life and a vampire hunter takes a keen interest in the brothers.
The story is about living with trauma and abuse and what it does to you and the people around you.
As for Moth Girl, I want to thank everyone who has read mine and Maggie’s little story but I decided last year that it was not something I wanted to carry on. Maybe one day I’ll come back to it (New name? Revived script? Who knows.) But for now it exists as the few chapters Maggie and I had fun creating with characters we loved.
I just didn’t want to disappear from here and never update again.
Thank you all so much for reading, it really does mean the world to me and I hope you can join me over in the land of vampires and grumpy witches. If not, that’s also cool! Horror isn’t for everyone.
~ Happy Pride Month from a disaster moth and a cowboy ~
There’s not going to be any updates for a while as i’ve been in and out of the country and work is a grind. But I’m still aiming to finish chapter 4 this year!
Thank you to everyone who follows and reads, it means the world to me.
[apologies about the text being different sizes. I bought a new font for the beginning of chapter 4 and I’m still trying to work it out for accessibility/readability]
My webcomic Moth Girl turns 3 today and even though I might have only done 63 pages in that time, that’s ok. I still like it. Here’s the last page Maggie ever worked on (38)
It is, most defiantly, a labour of love at this point.
Just in case Tumblr implodes on itself, you can find Moth Girl on various mirrors. ( this might not show up in search with the links but as long as people following the blog see it ~ )
Smack Jeeves is new and it’s where I’ll probably end up hosting MG in the future. I just to work out some coding stuff, a designated URL and some sizing issues. (Always with the sizing issues)
I’ll continue to upload here until i can’t though! See you all in the new year!!
After this I am completely on my own in terms of writing. I have no more of Maggie’s notes. Half of the next chapter is written and i’m in the middle of thumb nailing it. This is also probably the last time I’ll upload on a sunday but that’s up in the air right now. Trying to work out the best time to post.
Thank you to everyone so much for sticking with me over the last 2 years, it means more than you know. :)
If you’re in the UK there is an open consultation to reform the ‘Gender Recognition Act’ of 2004. This process will hopefully make it easier for transgender and non binary people to change their gender markers on their ID. (Turning the current drawn out system into something closer to Irelands easier process) - And to be recognised in general.
The deadline was extended to midday tomorrow (22/10/18) Please fill it out if you have the chance.
So after January’s update it was February which is a bad month for me, and then we went and bought a house?? So that’s been my focus for the last few months.
As I get back into the flow of things, updates will be sporadic but not 6 months sporadic! Thanks for sticking with me and the story!!
