Hi guys,

I have entered into the Fantasy Prologue competition with creative writers’ platform Vocal and it would mean the world to me if my friends reblogged or shared this link, or if you have a chance please read and let me know what you think. The more views my story gets, the more likely it is to stand out to judges, so any help I get is much appreciated ❤️‍

I thoroughly enjoyed writing this and I can’t wait to start writing fiction again on a regular basis!

Bankruptcy Attorneys In Minnesota – What is Chapter 7 Bankruptcy?

When people refer to bankruptcy, the most common connotation is that any debts that have been incurred would be abandoned and cancelled. This situation is actually true if a person files for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

A person or individual who files for bankruptcy could use either Chapter 13 or Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Choosing between Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 is not just a simple decision. The bankruptcy court would have to look into the person or individual’s situation first before making a decision as to which type of bankruptcy should be used.

If you think that filing for bankruptcy is a good way to get out of a dire financial situation, then think again. Bankruptcies are actually reflected on your credit report for a period of ten years. This also affects your credit rating by bringing it to a much lower score. This could prevent you from acquiring loans and the like.

Here’s the second chapter of my NaNoWriMo book.

I know I’m updating super infrequently. Life is a mess right now (like, I have a lot of work and exams and homework and Tumblr for as much as I want to place it at the top of the list just isn’t, everything is good and all, I even have a bunch of drafts and ideas for posts, just no time, sorry).

I think halfway through this chapter or the begining of the next is when my tablet decided it would only be doing auto correct in Spanish so if there’s worse grammar than usual I’m super sorry! I did try to be careful but I also did write mostly in between clases.

Read the Prologuefirst if you haven’t already!

Chapter One: Mages

Willow was sitting on the floor of her room. Sunlight filtered in through the curtains, it hadn’t risen but an hour ago. Yet Willow woke up with the first sign of day, she crawled off of the mattress on her floor and reached for whatever cuddly toys she found first to start her playing.

Willow was a young girl, a young mage. The town’s only child. It was a town tradition, children were children for the first ten years, during which time they were to be only children. Mages lived long lives and believed in quality over quantity, for literally everything, even children. Willow had no complaints; she got the attention of every adult in town.

Willow was only a couple of years old. She had bright brown hair that reached down to her shoulders and matched her eyes. Apparently, that’s where her name came from. Because her hair and eyes were like that of a Willow tree. Willow didn’t know what a Willow tree looked like. There weren’t any in the village.

Her mother drew one for her once. She still wasn’t sure if it was a joke or not, it didn’t look like a tree, it looked like a weird green dress or rain. But that could also be her mother’s bad drawing skills.

“What are you doing up young lady?” her mother asked as she opened the door.

Willow looked up, holding up once of the toys. “Playing.”

“Oh, but you were supposed to be sleeping.”

“I finished sleeping when the sun did.”

“Of course you did,” she smiled. Picking up her child. “You know, the sun sleeps longer in winter than it does summer.”

“Well, that’s not fair now, is it?”

Willow’s mother held back a chuckle at the repeat of an expression she’d heard day prior from one of the elders. “I don’t think the sun really cares about fairness My Dear,” she spoke. Setting Willow down at the table with some porridge already set up before heading to the mirror to tidy up her red hair.

“Hello Dear,” Willow’s father came out of their bedroom. His hair was a mess of black curls that he’d soon fix with a shower. He kissed Willow’s mother cheek before heading straight over to Willow. “And hello my most beautiful precious girl in my entire life.”

“More beautiful than mom?”

“Well of course. You got all of your mother’s beauty plus mine.”

Willow’s mother just shook her head with a smile. “What are you up to today Steve?”

“I have an important job to do down at the lake Melissa.” He rubbed the back of his neck. “I may have made some mistakes in my calculations a couple of months ago and now there is a sight risk of collapse from that bridge.”

“It’s not open to the publish is it?”

“Of course not!” He frowned. “But there is a couple of animal nets beneath it so if I can avoid any damage that’d be great.”

“Of course. Well, be sure not to put yourself in nay unnecessary danger.”

“Of course Dear. I’ll see you both for dinner tonight?”

“Just like every night.”

“I am the luckier man in the world.”

“And don’t forget it.” Melissa joked with a smile as the bathroom door closed.

Steve took long showers, so by the time he came out Melisa and Willow would be long gone.

Just like every morning Willow finished her breakfast before helping her mother carry the large bouquets of flowers out the door. They walked through town, through the square and all the way through the park, at the very end, just before the woods, was the cemetery.

Willow dropped her bouquet on the ground at the beginning receiving a scolding look from her mother but no comments.

“Would you like to decorate today Dear?”

Willow nodded, picking out all the red flowers from her bouquet before running over to a specific stone and starting her flower drawing. Meanwhile Melissa took a single flower to every other gravestone in the cemetery. Finally returning to her daughter.

“Very pretty Dear.”

“It’s a heart,” Willow informed.

“I see.”

“I chose read flowers so they’d match your hair.”

Melissa smiled more, a slight blush.

“Grandma used to love your hair. I don’t think she liked mine as much.”

“Don’t be ridiculous,” Melissa smiled, sitting down next to her daughter. “You were the most beautiful girl in her life, she just couldn’t choose a favorite featured because all of them were so perfect.”

Willow smiled and nodded. “Yeah. That’s right.”

Melissa loved how easily convinced Willow was. The truth was Melissa’s mother had been a little disappointed Willow hadn’t inherited her mother’s red hair. “How will I see her in a crowd?” she’d used to say. But despite that she’d loved Willow very much. Her passing a couple of months ago had been hard to explain to such a young child. But Willow was dealing with it in a healthy manner as far as Melissa and Steven were concerned.

“Well, we better be off or you’ll be late for classes.”

“Okay.” Willow stood up, she pressed her palm to the gravestone. “See you tomorrow Grandmother.”

Melissa frowned. But before Willow turned she was smiling again, picking her child up in her arms before walking through town.

Mr William, the oldest member of town was waiting patiently in his rocking chair near the moat that surrounded town. He smiled as Melissa set Willow down. Willow ran to the elder, hugging him as thought he were her own grandfather.

He was everybody’s grandfather in a way.

“Oh, Willow, there you are.” He smiled and continued to rock the chair, rocking Willow too. “It’s been so long.”

“We had classes yesterday!” Willow laughed.

Mr William smiled and nodded. “Ah, true. I do recall you being here yesterday. But what did we learn.”

Willow got off Mr William to stand in front of him. “This!” She exclaimed holding out her hands in an exaggerated gestured, with a lot of concentration a small spark flew form her palms to her fingertips. Barely enough to scare a butterfly, yet the child smiled proudly.

Mr William and Melissa both smiled too.

Her enthusiasm and determination was respectable.

“You’ll be creating thunderstorms before you’re three.”

Willow nodded in agreement. “You promised to teach me illusions today.”

Mr William frowned, glanced up at Melissa then back at Willow. “I don’t recall.”

“Yes, yes,” Willow nodded enthusiastically. “You said, I could look stronger than I am and—”

She was interrupted by a bird, it sparkled and flew right past her. An illusions. “And create beautiful shows, of course, yes, now I recall.”

Melissa raised a brow before shaking her head. “You behave for Mr William, okay Dear?”

“Of course.”

“And don’t pay him too much attention if he says anything silly.”

“Will do mom.”

They waved her goodbye before Mr William got up from his rocking chair, gesturing for Willow to follow. They slowly walked by the moat.

“I thought I told you not to say anything?”

“Sorry Mr William, I forgot.”

“You can’t trick or prank your parents if they know you know how to make illusions,” he shook she head in disappointment.

“I just need to wait long enough that they forget.” Willow stopped, kneeling down to touch the water.

Mr Williams stopped, watching her with a smile and shaking head. “Willow, come. There is much to learn today.”

“Could I learn water magic?”

“Eventually. But not today. Or Tomorrow.”

“The day after?”

A chuckle. “Perhaps a year or two more.”

“It’s just water!”

“And you’re just starting. How about first we master illusions, light, the most simple of spells. Then we can move onto electricity and once we’ve gotten the hang of that we’ll either do water or fire.”

“I think water should go first. That way if I mess up fire I can put it out.”

“Very wise words from such a bright little mage. Now how about you follow me?”

Willow got up finally following the town elder.

He was talking about magical theory. Usually Willow would listen, but she kept glancing back at her reflection in the water. She’d always been easy to distract but today more than usual. She wasn’t the only thing reflected in the water. The trees and leaves could be seen rustling. The roofs of nearby homes. Occasionally a squirrel or a bird moving by. She stopped.

“Willow, are you even listening?”

“The water is moving.”

“Don’t be silly.”

“Look,” she pointed at the water. She was right. There was a very slight movement. Like a small earthquake, a large crowd moving or…

“We should head back home.”

Willow frowned. “Why?”

He didn’t know what to say. He placed a hand on Willow’s shoulder. “I’ll explain when you’re older Dear. For now. We must go back.”

Willow looked up past the water, beyond her village. There was an unfamiliar noise coming from the distance. Something was shiny.

“Willow. Now.”

Willow looked up at Mr William, nodded and began to head back to the village with him close behind.

Thanks for reading!

As usual,  check out my book, stories I’ve written plus other social medias: here.

I actually sold a book the other day and I’m still smiling. It made my day, and that’s saying something because I was having a really bad day, like, the kind of bad day where things keep adding up but then you leave the building and it’s raining and you came by bike, kind of day.

But selling a book will always make me smile, people showing interest in your writing truly is one of the best feelings for any writer.

Talking about writing, back on topic,

It’s been 11 days (while typing not on date of publication), I should be a third of the way into NaNoWriMo, I’m 10.5k words. So yeah, quite a bit behind.

I’m not too concerned as I’m quite good at instants of inspirations and 10k words appear. Not to mention I told myself at the very beginning it couldn’t be taken too seriously because of University.

How is NaNoWriMo going for all of you? What are you writing?
