I passed my mountain leader assessment!!! The end of a long two and a half year journey that had a lot of great moments and plenty of tears and ‘why am I putting myself through this’ moments. But it was all worth it and it’s a great feeling to have completed it.

Wild ponies of Snowdonia. I was lucky to have fine weather for most of my time there. Even so, as it was still quite cold I booked a hostel for most of my time there. I can definitely recommend Idwal cottage for anyone visiting.

Crib Goch, Snowdonia. I’ve spent the last couple of weeks in the Brecons and Snowdonia getting more experience for my mountain leader qualification. Doing the Snowdon horseshoe along Crib Goch was a fairly hairy knife-edge scramble!
