A little something something from this past weekend

After well over a year of tying, it still trips me out to see pictures of me topping. When i started out in the scene I never imagined I would be where I am now. Hurting a beautiful human while my partner looks on. Purposefully picking out the most painful ways to tie them, using sadistic rope.

If only 2013 Boshai could see me now!

I had the pleasure of hosting an intensive this weekend with Alice_the_wolfe and @TheRopeDiary. After everyone left Mr Jay and I took a moment to practice what we had learned and reconnect with each other.

Shown here is Alice’s Hojo basket TK, and her beautiful hishi tengu. Message her on fet for video tutorials :)

I’ve been (actually) learning rope!

Focusing on hip harnesses tight now, with an eye towards self-suspension. Here’s half of a particularly pretty one.

My last attempt at the Peach Tie was unsatisfactory. The front was alright, but I knew the back was wrong. So I watched Tifereth’s video a few times, and tried again. I think I’ve got the basic form down now.

Like, I keep staring at my ass in this pic and thinking “Wow, that’s a fantastic ass.”

Last Sunday, Radical Girl came over and I practiced rope on her. These are the marks left behind after I laddered down her leg. We both really liked the impression the knot left above her knee.

She’s a whole lot of fun to tie up! Like me, she enjoys bottoming for sadistic rope, which is perfect, since I’m finding I really enjoy topping for sadistic rope. And when I pulled rope tight, or punched her leg over a particularly right futomomo, she made the most delightful noises.

We were talking as I tied, so whenever I hurt her, she interrupted herself with little gasps and squeaks. I would tease her and ask, “What were you saying? Go on.” Every so often, I grabbed her and kissed her, sometimes while pulling her towards me by the chest harness I’d tied.

It was a fantastic evening, with lots of good conversation, queerness, laughter, fun noises, and adorableness all around. And I even actually practiced rope as planned.

Practicing the Bones and Rope hip harness.

This is the first hip harness I felt like I really knew. I think I must have watched the video for it (the first half, at least), about 50-75 times within a week or so (many of them while at work, I must admit). And then i practiced on one of the desk toys I have at work a whole bunch of times, and then on myself. By the end of that week, I was spending free moments picturing the video in my mind and imagining myself tying the harness on myself.

I like it. It’s simple enough, and I know it well. I haven’t tried suspending myself from it yet, but it feels like it should be pretty comfortable.

Suspension is the next step I need to take with my self rope. I did put myself up at a small group rope practice a while ago, but that was only for a brief time, and it wasn’t with a harness I actually know.

I bought an over the door pull up bar that’s rated for swinging things, like punching bags and “aerial yoga,” and I have gymnastic rings and some carabiners, so I have everything I need to try suspending myself. Sometime soon I’m going to ask someone to come over and spot me, and then I’ll start practicing self-suspension!

Inspired by this post.

I like these thicker wraps in the middle. It means you can’t move your limbs closer together or farther apart. I’ll have to experiment with having my legs farther apart to begin with, and maybe add another rope so I have enough to still do all the wraps and make it work kind of like a spreader bar.

A combination of the last tie and this one.

I think next time I’ll do it with different colors, like in the picture. It could be really pretty that way. I also definitely want to try it like that, all the way down the body.

The tie isn’t super immobilizing, but it does hold limbs together. I’ve also been meaning to do this as an armbinder on someone, since it’s easily adjustable to however flexible that person is.

I’ve decided now that I’ve got the basics of rope down, my main problem in scenes is not knowing what to do next.

In service of changing that, I’m going to play with rope for at least a little while every night. Maybe I’ll have a concept in mind (pain, predicament, immobilization), or maybe I’ll just be messing around and seeing what comes out.

Tonight I tried out attaching legs to chest harnesses, and then decided to see what fun I could have tying both legs together. I liked how this came out because if I push my right leg, the rope around my left tightens painfully. I could have I good time with that in a scene.
