Happy St. Patricks Day to all of you.  This is not a day for carousing and getting drunk, for cheap jokes about leprechauns and what have you.  It is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.  I’ve lived in Ireland, and I know the land well, and the people too.  They are fine and passionate creatures.  Maureen O’Hara came from the Republic, the Dublin suburb of Ranelagh, and rose to fame in American films like The Quiet Man.  Her fiery performances are legendary.  What a role model that lady was.
