If you wish to see an amazing fortress, visit Rhodes! The old town is full of medieval buildings of brutal crusader architecture and its cyclopean walls bear cannon ball impacts alongside time-worn statues of warrior saints. Deus vult!
The Pons Fabricius is the oldest bridge in Rome, Italy, still existing in its original state. Built in 62 BC, it spans half of the Tiber River, from the Campus Martius on the east side to Tiber Island. Historical significance, however, does not prevent local hobos from living under the bridge. At least it rained and they did not bother us.
