I finally took out my braids and pressed/trimmed my hair. It feels soon good!!! I need a trim ( my ends weren’t that bad) and I wanted to see how much my hair grew and it really did! It feels so thick and healthy. It’s not going to last though. I did it Sunday and by Monday, it’s already frizzing up! I’m going to try and keep it straight for this whole week and then go back to my braid outs.

Patience kids. Patience….
I’m missing my hair so much. I took out one braid just to see my hair and look. I’m gaining some growth.
My ends (at least that piece) feels so good. I haven’t had a trim since July tho…
I don’t want to take my braids out just yet. I want to make it to 2 months which will be on Jan. 2nd. I want to take them out the week of Jan 11th. I want see if I can gain a few more inches. LMAO! Plus I’m being super lazy. I know once I take out my braids, I would have to do my hair. Ugh! the struggle…

So I took out my braids on Friday (July 25th) and did another length check (July 25th). I’m impressed. I got a little growth! I didn’t use hair growth pills. The braids are really working in my favor. I’m also going to trim my hair every time I take my braids out which would be every 2-3 months. Like I said before, I want to keep up with my trims.
This time next year, I should have a good amount of growth. I’m really proud of myself for sticking with this 1 year protective style challenge.
