Sovieshu didn’t want to take the time to get to know Navier the way she is now. He lived in a fantasy that him and Navier were still kids just playing and not the Empereor and Empress that have to play the roles they were given. Sovieshu only likes Rashta because she reminds him of the way Navier was before she became the official Empress of the Eastern Empire. King Heinrey is different from Sovieshu in that since though, he loves Navier for who she is in the present and not a fantasized image of her.
