LIVE

Skyward Sword came out 3 months after I got sick. The anticipation, the experience, and the post-game high really got me through the terrifying and painful transition into a life dominated by chronic illness.

For the first year, listening to Romance In The Air and Fi’s Theme on a loop(on a burned CD) was the only thing that could get me to sleep. Drawing fan art kept me distracted from the pain, and led to me getting my first tablet.

Skyward Sword also had a long-term impact on my life after the initial enthusiasm waned. It introduced me to the fandom communities on Tumblr where I met some of my best friends, which also helped get me through these past 10 years. I don’t know if I’d be here without it.

This game is extremely special to me. I’m so excited

WEIRD. I’ve seen so many of this person’s videos and never realized my art was in one of them this whole time

Tomorrow’s my 26th birthday y'all. I want nothing but MajiMako and Kashiwagi Everywhere

Hi friends!! I’m gonna start posting Yakuza 7 art soon. There will be some spoilers here and there so I want to be careful not to ruin anything. Can you let me know which tags you’re blocking to avoid spoilers so I can tag the posts properly? I’d hate to spoil such an awesome experience for those of you who haven’t gotten to play through it yet!

A brief farewell to a hero of mine, in my normal handwriting. This bandanna and belt buckle are visibly weathered because they accompanied me through some of the most stubbornly joyous memories of my youth, before and after I got sick.

For me and many others, Van Halen was a ray of sunshine that could cut through any darkness we faced. Eddie’s goofy smile while he played always inspired me to find joy in what I do. The dude was passion incarnate, and his enthusiasm was wildly contagious.

If you asked me which bands I listened to to put a smile on my face, the answer would always be “Rush and Van Halen.” Needless to say, 2020 has been merciless. But I know Eddie would want us to keep smiling, so let’s keep doing our best. ❤

Rest in peace and rock on, Eddie. Thanks for everything, and see you on the other side.

“Thank you for your contributions to music, which will live on forever. Thank you for bringing so much joy into my life, and the countless other lives you’ve touched. Thank you for making me smile during the hardest periods of my life. Thank you for everything. Sleep well, Eddie.”

I’m posting more on Instagram these days so go ahead and follow me over there @neeseeart ! ‍♀️

I’ve spent 3 years going on about how Majima is my ultimate creative inspiration because he demonstrates that beauty is just a composite of lots of ugliness, and he represents unconditional love and true individuality. But what if the real reason I love drawing him is that I don’t have to draw the other eye?

I may not be able to scan QR codes right now but I’m having a blast making my own shit from scratch.
