First off, I love the whole “getting the band back together” and the whole recap of past events. And I get YN’s visceral instinct to protect her family. But OMG…just the boys talking about their post-idol lives just struck a chord in me? I dunno if I’m just hormonal or whatever but I’m getting all teary-eyed about it?? Like, just the fact that they had already spoken about this last year—about feeling extremely lucky and being on borrowed time…past the typical boy band expiration date. And yet here they are, just starting to hit their stride.
But back to this AU!!! This family has been put through the ringer and I’m hurting for them.

Okay, Helen–girl…you need some therapy. Like…desperately! Anybody willing to hold on to a grudge like that–it sounds like a cry for help. It’s sad what hate and bitterness could turn a person into. It seems like her relationship with Yuna is beyond repair but I hope there’s a tiny part that is still salvageable? I hate when siblings fall off. But Yuna is right…sometimes, blood doesn’t define family.

Okay, NGL, I used to be intrigued but now that YN and Joon are working things out, this humanoid needs to stay in his lane Kenta is right to be territorial about this because he genuinely cares for YN…he’s right to keep Huru in check because…this is not “The Bodyguard,” bruh. But seriously, I love when I get to read some great team banter! They’re always a bit of a challenge to write for me, personally but I love the approach here. You can feel the closeness of those who have worked together for years and those who haven’t quite assimilated to the team yet and trying to make their mark.
It’s a great balance between comfortable and professional–but it shows a deep level of trust there, which is vital especially when you’re in such a high-risk line of work.
Also, I feel as if Yoshi is the only one in the room completely unaware of his attraction to Kae-Lee His obliviousness is pretty endearing!
