It was a hard day today. Well, which one isn’t when you’re in love with a hybrid with like thousand foes who want to kill him and anybody he cares about. Today, it wasn’t any long-ago-pissed witch nor a furious werewold who tried to kill you. No, today, it was, especially, some weird guy with his ‘gang’, who later turned out to be a vampire with intentions to kill you because he heard you’re still human. And while Klaus wasn’t nearby, because of your heated argument about him following you everywhere, litteraly everywhere, and after which you told him to leave you alone, he gave it a shot. Unfortunately for him, Klaus did exactly why you were mad at him. He followed you there, eventhough you told him not to, just because of situations like this. He knew if something happened to you, he couldn’t live with the fact he wasn’t there for you. So as soon he saw something going the wrong way, he stepped in and ripped all of their hearts out. Classic Klaus. You were pissed, however you were thankful he didn’t obey your forbiddance and saved you. Again.
It was a beautiful evening. You were standing at the balcony, looking on the streets filled with music, food and joy. Since your arrival, you didn’t tell a word to anyone, nor Elijah nor Rebekah. Everyone was worried, if you’re okay, but wasn’t sure to ask, so they just stood there for a while. Klaus was standing behind you leaning against the wall. He signed his siblings to leave you two alone. When Elijah and Rebekah left, he came to you and stood next to you, also enjoying the view.
’'Thank you, Klaus.“ you said, still looking over the buildings of the city.
’'You don’t have to thank me, you know that i would do anything for you.” he looked at you with a little relieved look.
’'Even not listen to my word, when i told you to leave me alone.“ you chuckled a little and lowered your head.
’'I couldn’t let anything ha-”
’'I know. That’s what i thanked you for.“ you cut him and turned to face him. He looked so helpless you pitied him. The big bad immortal and untouchable hybrid feared by everyone, was destoryed just by an imagination of you, meaningless human, getting hurt or worse, killed. You saw how fragile he was with you, but you knew if you’d break up with him, you’d hurt him like nothing ever could and he’d became either a maniac ripping apart anyone who’d cross his way or a broken man who’d wish for death. These thoughts were killing you. So the only job you had was to stay alive.
’'I’m sorry, i just didn’t realise how much you cared about me.” you admitted guiltily.
’'I thought it was pretty obvious.“ he chuckled and so did you.
’'Well, i’m such a dumbass.” you sighed with a small chuckle.
’'Don’t you ever dare to talk about yourself like this, love.“ he said little bit angrily ’'Whatever you do, whatever you screw up, you’re not a dumbass. Those idiots who attacked you were dumbasses by daring to hurt you.” you looked at him with your eyes filled with tears.
’'Don’t cry love, it hurts me to see you like this.“ he said while a tear falling from his cheek. ’'Let’s do something less deadlier, shall we?” he lifted your head and wiped out those salty tears. “I heard you playin’ back in the day, think you could play something nice for me?” he said while pointing his eyes on the piano standing in the corner of your common room.
’'What do you want me to play?“ you asked.
’'The choice is yours, love.” he hugged you and let you to go sit behind the piano.
You started to play Fire on fire *(link to piano version). He was watching you for a while and then used his supernatural speed to bring himself a canvas with a pallet full of colours. You immediately stopped playing in thought something bad happened.
’'Oh, don’t mind me love, just go on, it’s beautiful.“ he looked at you and by the look on his face you couldn’t even say how much he loves you. You didn’t even had to, you were looking at him the exactly same way. There were no more words needed.
’'What are you painting?” you asked while playing those keys.
’'Don’t worry, you’ll see when it’s done.“ he replied with a smirk.
You kept playing for a while. It was a beautiful evening, finally without anyone trying to kill either of you. Just you, music and the love of your life.
’'Close your eyes.” you heard a masculine voice from behind the canvas. And so you did to prove him you trust him with your life, as you really do. He came to you, sat by your side and placed on the egde of the piano a still quite wet canvas.
’'Now, you shall open them.“ so you did. You saw a beautiful painting of yourself behind the piano. It was even more beautiful because Klaus painted it for you.
’'So, what do you think?” he asked with a hope in his eyes. He knew you adore his art in every way, but he just wanted to be sure. You remained quietly admiring that piece of art in front of you.
’'What can i say? It’s gorgeous.“ you looked in his lovely deep blue eyes and kissed him while your hands were running through his curls. He attached his lips to yours and grabbed you by your waist while kissing you passionately.
’'We should do this more often, shouldn’t we?” he asked
’'When everyone out there wants me dead? I’m pretty sure we should.“ you chuckled while continuing kissing him. He got up, took that magnificient painting and put it on a shelf where it could be seen from every angle.
’'The more moments like this we have, the more paintings of your ravishing form i’ll make.” he said and then picked you up from that small chair from behind the piano and took you to your bed by the bridal style. You didn’t take your eyes off him till he lay next to you. You leaned towards him and kissed him passionately once again.
’'I love you so much, Klaus.“ you said while getting the closest you could to him, placing a hand on his chest and drawing some shapes.
’'Love, i guess we’ve already been through this.” he started “There is no person who loves more than i love you.”
’'Don’t be so sure.“ you chuckled as you slowly fell asleep.
’'You bet i am.” those were the last words you heard form him as you fell asleep in his warming hug. He could hear your heartbeat slowing so he assumed, it’s time for him to fall asleep as well.

’‘I’ll be back soon. It’s just a few miles away and I promised her I’ll be there.“ you told Klaus before putting more of your clothes into your suitcase.
’'Why am I not allowed to go too?” he asked trying to persuade you to stay “I won’t cause any trouble, I promise.”
’'You do realize she doesn’t like you, right?“ you turned on him with hands full of clothes.
’'Besides, don’t you have a city to run?” you asked ’'Just don’t set it on fire while I’m gone.“ you chuckled and a smirk appeared on his face.
’'You call me as soon as you get there, alright love?”
’'Don’t be so scared, I’m a hybrid too, I know how to take care of myself.“ you opposed.
’'But not the original one.” he smirked “Just promise you’ll call, please.”
’'Fine, if it calms you, I’ll call . Can I get my suitcase now?“ you asked and signed him to move, because he was standing right between you and the bed on which was your over-filled suitcase. He moved and you tried to zip it, but vainly.
’'Little help here Nik?” you looked at him and sat on the suitcase.
’'Is it true? You, the independent hybrid and in need of my help.“ he joked and helped you immediately.
’'Oh please, don’t act like it bothers you.” you said “You’ve always loved to be my hero.”
It was true, he would help you with anything, anywhere and anytime. He would even breathe for you. When the suitcase was closed, you picked it up and headed to the front door.
“Can I give you a lift at least?” he still tried “I’ll come back, when I’d be sure you’re safe.”
’'If you insist on it that much, fine.“ you replied actually quite glad he treated you like royalty.
He took that suitcase for you and put it in car. You grabbed the handle of the car door and pulled it to open it. You sat on the frontseat, fully ready to spend next seven hours with him locked in a moving car. Despite your unconditional love, he was sometimes able to drive you extremely crazy. He sat on the driverseat and started the engine.
’'Shall we?” he asked and looked you in the eye.
You nodded your head and the car left the mansion.
After the first half hour, you fell asleep.
You woke up when the car stopped at the gas station.
’'I’m sorry love, didn’t mean to wake you up. I’ll be right back. Do you want something from the shop?“ he asked
’'No, I’m fine, thanks.” you answered with your eyes closed and your body curled up to keep yourself warm and comfortable.
He gave you a cute smile and left. After a while, you were back on the road.
’'So, why is this friend of yours so important, we travel across states because of her?“ he started.
’'She is my friend and needs my help, isn’t that enough?” you replied.
’'Sweetheart, you have many friends and we don’t drive to them as soon as they call. So do tell me. What is so special about her?“ he continued.
’'She was my only true friend, before I met you and all you supernatural beings. Before I knew I’m one myself too.” you explained.
’'You didn’t know she is a werewolf, did you?“
’'Neither of us did. If she didn’t try to protect me at that time, we would never know. I feel kinda guilty about it. She killed and triggered her curse just because of me. If a wasn’t so stubborn and went right home— ” you continued explaining when Nik cut you off.
’'You’re not to blame, love. I’m sure that’s a thing we all can agree on.“ he said ’'How did you react, when you learnt it?”
’'I freaked out, as any normal person would do if they were me. But I didn’t leave her, I tried to help her even though I was terrified. And she did the same with me, after my trigger. She’s the one I went to remember? She helped me.“ you confessed.
’'I’m still not quite alright with the fact that you left.” he replied.
’'I had to leave, you know that.“
Suddenly, you heard tires squeaking and a huge crush.

”(y/n)! What a pleasure to finally meet you.“ you heard some masculine voice getting closer to you. You were in chains, sitting on the ground like some prisoner. When you opened your eyes, you looked around and searched for Niklaus. You saw him nearby, also chained up. His eyes lit up when he saw you were awake.
’'I guess we have a lot of catch up to do.” the stranger said as he came to you.
’'Who are you?“ you asked through pain caused by mixture of vervain and wolfsbane flowing through your veins.
’'Tyler, what is all of this supposed to be?” Klaus asked, in quite clam tone according to the situation, before now not-so-unknown person could make a sound.
’'You know, you made my life living hell back in the day.“ Tyler started ’'I’m here to do the same to you. You know, the plan was to kidnap only (y/n) and torture her, but since you’re already here, you can watch.” he said and stabbed an iron rod inside your stomach. You screamed from pain.
’'See Klaus? How does it feel to see your beloved suffer?“ he asked with anger.
Nik tried to get out of those bloody chains, but in vain. Tyler’s minions beat him down as soon as he made even a small move.
’'What do you want from us?” you asked catching a breath through the pain you were in.
’'That’s quite simple, darling. I’m just gonna torture you till your death.“ he turned on you.
’'You’re wrathful with me, leave her out of this!” Nik tried to save you “Let me out of these chains and let’s finish this, you coward!” he raised his voice in frustration of you getting hurt because of him.
’'That’s the problem Klaus!“ he shouted ’'You didn’t leave Caroline out of our problems, why would I do that with (y/n)?”
’'So this is what it’s all about, you’re mad at me, because Caroline left you.“ Nik smirked.
’'Not just that, I also had to broke every bone in my body multiple times, to break your stupid sire bond and let’s not forget that you tried to kill me too. So take this as my vengeance for all of that.” Tyler replied and stabbed your thigh with another rod. You didn’t even had the power to scream, all you left out was sigh.
’'You’re gonna regret this.“ Klaus said as his eyes turned yellow and veins under them popped out.
Tyler looked at him. Just like that, Klaus broke free and started to kill everyone who crossed his way to Tyler. You somehow managed to rip off that cannula from your arm and tried to pull out those rods. You heard Tyler’s people dying, one by one. You got rid of one of the rods and threw it away. Almost everyone’s heart in the room was ripped out. Only you, Klaus and Tyler were there. Nik grabbed him by the throat and pressed him against the wall.
’'I shouldn’t have listened to Caroline, I should’ve killed you when I had the chance.” he said. You collected all your strenght and somehow hobbled to them with one of the rods in your hand. Nik turned on you.
’'He’s all yours (y/n).“ he gladly moved slightly away still holding Tyler by throat.
You ran the rod through his stomach. Seeing you were weak, Klaus helped you and got it even deeper and then he bent the rod so Tyler couldn’t get away so easily. You nearly passed out from the exhaustion, but Klaus caught you.
’'I got you love, I’m right here.”
’'You’re always there for me, Nik. Thank you.“ you sighed and he bit his wrist to feed you his blood. You accepted immediately and drank. You could feel your form getting stronger and stronger with each sip.
’'How are you able to actually love him, after everything he had done?” Tyler, nailed to the wall, asked.
You stood up and came to confront him “Because all the bad things he’d done, were to protect him and his beloved.” you defended your love.
Klaus’ eyes fell on you and you could say he was pleased by your words and your understanding.
’'Oh please, he killed his own parents, not just once and he kept daggering his siblings all the time.“ Tyler snorted ’'As far as I know, he locked you too, more than once.”
’'I don’t know why are we even talking to you. Isn’t that rod deep enough?“ you asked sarcasticly and pushed it deeper inside his torso. Seeing Tyler suffer was making you a little less upset.
’'Alright, that’s enough. Goodbye, Tyler.” Klaus stated and he immediately ripped Tyler’s heart out and threw it away. The silence was too loud. You looked at Tyler’s body, but then remembered you were supposed to be somewhere.
’'Can we get out of here now, please?“ you turned on Klaus, who’s eyes didn’t leave the dead body in front of you both.
’'Hey, are you okay?” you asked in concern.
’'I’m sorry, I failed you, love.“ his eyes fell to the ground.
You cupped his face and turned him to face you ’'You didn’t fail me, Nik. Look at me, I’m alright, you see?” you comforted him “I’m fine. We’re fine.”
’'I don’t deserve you, (y/n).“ he stated with a tear growing in his eye.
’'No. Don’t say this. I love you, Nik, I’d always do.” you tried to prove him wrong “Look, if you didn’t go with me, I might be dead by now. You saved me. Again.”
’'You wouldn’t be in danger in the first place if it weren’t me.“ he argued.
’'Niklaus Mikaelson, we’ve already talked about this. We can’t split up. You love me, don’t you?” you got worried.
’'I do, that’s why it hurts me to see you suffer because of me.“ he replied ’'You’d be better without me.”
’'No, I’m not doing this. Get your ancient ass here and let’s find some phone and call Elijah to come for us, since your car is destroyed.“ you commanded.
’'I’m serious (y/n)!” he raised his voice as you were walking away
’'So am I.“ you raised your voice too ’'I’m not leaving you. Not at any cost. I’ll be with you always and forever Nik.” you turned on your heel, vamp-speeded to him and kissed him. He placed his hands on your waist and held you tight. Like it was the last time.
’'Don’t you dare to walk away from me.“ you threatened him between the kisses. He chuckled ’'How could I abandon my queen?’'
’'Finally, you’ve realized it.” you recalled.
’'And what is it, love?“ he asked.
’'That you do not have any other choice.” you laughed and kissed him again with your hands wrapped around his neck.
’'Now, how are we gonna get home?“ you asked playfully.
’'First of all, let’s get out of here, and as soon as we find a telephone booth, I’ll call Elijah and Freya would perform a finding spell.” he suggested.
’'Great, and then I’ll call Cora to let her know about us getting back on our way to hers as soon as possible.“ you added.
He placed his hand around your waist and he pulled you into a hug on the go. Both of you chuckled.

“Everything has to be always the way you want, doesn’t it?” you shouted at him in the heat of your argument, because of Klaus being overprotective too much again and letting you go nowhere. Not especially now, when some hunter is in the town looking mainly for supernatural creatures.
’‘I’m just trying to protect you, (y/n)!“ he opposed
’'This isn’t protection, this is immurement. I can’t go anywhere without your premission.” you continued “I’m like a prisoner in this house and i’m sick of it!”
’'What do you want me to do?“ he asked with a calm tone ’'You know it’s not safe out there, love. I can’t let something happen to you, i care about you too much.”
’'Maybe you shouldn’t.“ you replied coldly ’'I know how to take care of myself. You don’t need to worry.”
’'Don’t do this to me, (y/n), please.“ he begged while watching you leave his room.
’'What happened up there?” Elijah asked seeing you rushing down the stairs and making your way to the front door.
’'Get out of my way, Elijah, i can’t be here any more minute.“ you snarled at him while pushing him away.
’'Can you tell us at least, where you’re going?” Elijah overran his brother.
’'Why? So you can follow me and drag me back here? I don’t think so.“ you retorted, but then thought for a second and replied ’'Woods. Release the steam.” then you left with a loud door slam.
You walked as fast as you could to get as far as possible from the house which was last few weeks the only place you were allowed to be. You felt free. Nobody telling you, where you can or can’t go. As soon as you were far enough from city, you transformed into your wolf form. Finally free. The night was magnificent. Sky was bright, air was fresh and you finally didn’t have to worry about some hunter trying to kill you. You ran as fast as you could and slowly released all those negative thoughts out of your mind. You were happy. Nothing feels better than a propper run in the forest. As you were running, suddenly, your right hind leg felt like it’s on fire. You fell and took a look on it. Great. A bear trap. You howled from the pain loud enough for the whole city to hear. You looked around if someone was nearby. Unfotunately, you saw a silhouette of some man. You concluded it wasn’t the best time for you to transform back in front of him. You pretended to be a normal wolf. Soon enough, you realized that wasn’t the way to stay alive. The man crouched and looked into your eyes.
’'Well, well, well, what do we have here? A werewolf? Naah, it’s not a full moon, so i assume, you’re a hybrid.“ he said and you could give him only a growl through your suffering.
’'Could you transform back? I’d like to ask you some questions. Here, you don’t have to be naked.” he handed you a shirt from his backpack.
You transformed back and covered yourself with it. The pain was horrible.
’'Could you get me out of this, please?“ you tried to persuade him with puppy eyes.
’'You don’t think i’m that stupid, do you?” he grinned “Let me explain you, how this is gonna be. I’m here the one who asks questions and you give answers. So, let’s start with something simple, shall we? Like, why are you here all alone, where is your sire?” he looked at you and you just avoided eye contact.
’'Don’t tell me that he let you leave.“ he asked sarcasticly.
’'Yes” you nodded quietly “What do you want from me?”
’'Oh, don’t take it personally, but you’re here just as a bait. After his actions, i guess you’re really big deal for him, so he’ll come and save you.“ he said so confidently you almost believed him, but than you remembered your argument.
’'I don’t think so.” you replied with a small chuckle.
’'And why is that so?“ he got a little nervous.
’'Well, we’re having bad times now, so, all this, might be useless.” you sounded quite confident but your heart was beating for life.
’'Oh, i’m sure he’ll come, you just have to try harder darling.“ he grinned and stabbed you in tigh, your scream was hella loud. Like it wasn’t enough for you to be stuck in a bloody bear trap with this idiot, you had a knife inside your leg now too.
’'Let me ask you something.” you sighed through the pain “Even if he comes, what are you intentions with him?”
’'Well since you ask so nicely.“ he stopped for a dramatic pause ’'I’m going to kill him.”
’'And how are you gonna do it? The white oak stake? I’m pretty sure the last one existing was thrown into fire.“
’'Not the last one as you can clearly see.” he took that awful weapon out of his backpack to show it to you.
’'That’s impossible.“ you stunned
’'Oh honey, you have no idea what’s possible.” he was enjoying that helpless look on that cute little face of yours.
Out of nowhere, the hunter got thrown against a tree and dropped the stake. You saw Rebekah had grabbed the stake and Elijah grabed the hunter. You were weak because of how much blood you lost throughout this little chat, so you could barely see what was happening. Meanwhile you were looking at Elijah choking this man against a tree, someone opened the bear trap and you pulled out your leg immediately without thinking.
’'Klaus?“ you hardly turned to look at your savior.
’'What did you get yourself into again, love?” he asked and as he looked at your hurt leg, you saw the anger rise in him instantly.
He got up from you and came to the almost choked man. Elijah let him for a moment and Klaus took some of the man’s knives.
“You’re gonna pay for what you did to her, do you understand me?” he scowled at the bleeding man. “I’m gonna enjoy this.” he said, unbuttoned the man’s shirt and cut him on chest. And again. And again. Then he stabbed the man and started turning the blade inside his stomach.
’'Oh come on Nik, we don’t have all century for this,“ Rebekah whined ’'and i’m hungry.”
’'You don’t have to worry, sister. Your dinner is right in front of you. And since you’re so annoying, here, help yourself.“ you could blurry see Klaus coming to you.
’'I hope you understand how foolish your actions were, (y/n).” he smirked.
’'Well, it was fun, until that bloody trap.“ you chuckled. He chuckled too a little.
’'I’m sorry, Klaus. I was just mad. It was driving me crazy staying inside that house all the time.” you apologised deeply.
’'I understand, love. I shouldn’t have been keeping you there like a prisoner. I’m sorry. Can you forgive me?“ he looked so devastated by his own actions.
’'After everything we’ve been through, you are asking if i can forgive you keeping me in your house for my own safety?”
He looked at you with so much guilt in his eyes.
’'Don’t you dare to blame yourself. You know i love you as much as you love me. Even if you’d do it another thousand times, i’ll forgive you each one of them.“ you lifted up his chin and passionately kissed him. His arms hugged you tightly.
’'All right you two, can we go home now?” Rebekah asked annoyingly.
Klaus picked you up and carried you all the way to their car. He carefully laid you on backseats and wrapped you in a blanket. You rested your head on Rebekah’s thighs and she held your hand.
Elijah got into the car and Klaus started the engine. All of you were on the way back to the Mikaelsons’.
’'So…, I was thinking.“
’'About what, Rebekah?” Klaus replied with a little disgust in his voice.
’'What if (y/n) moved in? It would be easier to protect her. And also you’ll have more time on each other, all you’ll need to do is nicely ask.“ she smiled.
Klaus looked at you through the rear-view mirror, to see your reaction and then his eyes got back to the road.
’'What do you think (y/n)? Would you?” he asked uncertainly.
’'I mean, it sounds great.“ you replied with a smile on your face.
’'It’s settled then, (y/n), welcome to the Mikaelson family.” said Elijah enthusiastically.
’'You’re one of us now, love.“ Klaus ended the conversation, parked the car and brought you to your new home.
House-movers started early in the moring the following day and when you woke up, all of your stuff was already in there.
