Katerina: *points at Rebekah* Sleep deprivation. *points at Klaus* Paranoia.*points at Kol* Delusional personality disorder.
Landon:Is this the part where you tell me that if I hurt her you’ll kill me?
Klaus:No, if you hurt Hope, she is perfectly capable of killing you herself.
Landon:Hope?
Klaus:No , Katerina…
Klaus:My wife
Katerina: It’s time for plan B.
Hope: We have a plan B?
Katerina: No, but it’s time for one.
Klaus:*yawns*
Katerina: Yeah, being that pretty must be tiring.
Klaus: Then you must be exhausted.
Rebekah: Will you two shut up? Some of us are lonely.
Katerina: Wait, so Kol kissed you and you said “thank you?”
Diamond:Yes.
Katerina: ….. Well that was very polite.
Klaus: What would you do if I got kidnapped ?
Katerina: Wait like an hour, they’ll bring you back once they’ve had enough.
Klaus: That’s it? You won’t beat them up?
Katerina: Haven’t they been punished enough?
Klaus: What if they hurt me ?
Katerina: Oh, in that case they won’t live to see the next day

Diamond: You two have a weird relationship
Klaus: *asleep on the couch*
Katerina: *rubbing Klaus’s face lovingly*
Katerina: *whispering* Bitch.
Rebekah:Katerina… wake up.
Katerina, drowsy: Mhh… Five more minutes.
Rebekah: Come on, I even made breakfast for us!
Katerina: Lies, I don’t hear the smoke alarm.
Hope: hey Mom, don’t know if you noticed but i slipped a little note into your lunch to say how much i love you.

If Season 1 of Legacies is not Hope trying to find a way to bring her father back then I’m going to be pissed
Klaus gave up the chance to raise and love his daughter 3 times in order to keep her safe.
No one ever told Hope or gave her the chance to see who Klaus is beyond the stories where he’s the villain.
Klaus spent less than a sum total of 3 years with his daughter all her life and is still a better father to her than most.
Klaus Mikaelson isn’t a good guy or a hero but he’s not evil and he’s a good dad who deserves the chance to be in his daughter’s life.
If Legacies doesn’t spend time with Hope trying to AND successfully bring her father back from wherever the fuck he is, it’s not worth watching
My theory on Legacies’ Magic and Gods.
Prometheus/Ben brought fire/magic to humankind. I feel that magic is some energy that comes from the Fifth Element/Akasha/Ether. What we call the Fifth Element is actually the First, the Origin of the Elements. It is also considered the Spirit or universal energy of life, and the essence of magic. It runs through and binds everything. Through the use of magic, one can influence all of Creation/the Universe/Nature.
Akasha & Ether have a similar meaning in their root words: to burn; to radiate. What does Fire/Magic do but burn and radiate? It allows the users (witches, gods, etc) to have an effect on anything in Nature through the intent of spells or just emotions and to feel life and its energies from the Earth, the Spirits, the Ancestors, anywhere in Nature.

Clearly, the Gods have a greater connection to magic or live near its source as Ben took some of it. The Gods wanted to be and remain the most powerful and most exalted as the belief of humans also empowered them. Witches have a connection to Magic but not as much as the Gods. They could be biological descendants of the Gods/Demigods. They were probably gifted and blessed with power due to their devoted worship and it changed them, giving birth to Witches and their bloodlines. IDK. The possibilities are endless. The latter would work and explain why modern witches pale in comparison to ancient witches in terms of power.
What separates Gods from humans? Magic. That’s what Ben told Jed. The Gods have a great deal of it which most likely allows them to live longer. Witches have it in their veins as well from birth but it’s finite.
Ever since you were little, people were terrified of what you could become. Because they were afraid that you might turn out like your dad. But you know what I think? I loved Niklaus. He was complicated, and flawed, and loyal. And he would have let the world burn just to save the people he loved. But you… you are willing to let go of someone you love to save innocent people that you’ll never even meet. So, I think that you’re already better than all of us. And that your father and mother would say the same.
