I feel like witches are sedentary and wizards are migratory. A witch has a home, a cauldron, herbs, you go to them with your problem. A wizard wanders, disappears, shows up at inconvenient times to fix nothing. am i making sense
Idk, i think both are often either? Wandering wizard and traveling witch are both kind of common, but you also definitely have the stationary witch hut & wizard tower types that stay put. To further complicate things, moving towers and walking huts are also very much options here.
Its hard to pin down anything consistent about magic-users because they tend to all be strange independent weirdos who do as they please. As it should be.
