Bi-Hanzo fluff

The first time that Hanzo had kissed him, he had recoiled.

It was not out of disgust, of course. After almost an entire year of speaking at length, rebuilding burnt bridges, repairing things where they could, eventually becoming friends despite it all and even still more surprisingly finding that they wished for something more. Though what exactly they wanted to do with the romantic feelings between each other with their understandably ‘troubled’ history, they were not sure. It even took them several weeks after discussing that they did indeed have romantic feelings for each other to ask each other if they wanted a relationship. Hanzo worrying over the damage he had done and Bi-Han over if Hanzo was at that point in his life that he could enter a romantic relationship again. It took several weeks after that for Hanzo to slip up in conversation with someone else and offhandedly mention Bi-Han as his 'lover’ and yet another conversation that had them tentatively even trying these foreign words in their mouths, still unsure because they were so worried about the other. It was honestly adorable when Bi-Han and Hanzo looked back on it, but understandable.

But the first time there had been an attempt at touches that were actually romantic and not their tenative platonic touches, had been the kiss. Not even a 'proper’ kiss as one would think of it. They had been speaking at length about weapon forging, when Kuai Liang had briefly come by to mention that it was time for Bi-Han to take his medicine and Hanzo had mentioned that it was late and time for him to leave. When Kuai Liang had stepped away to fetch the medicine, they had said their goodbyes and, almost without thinking, Hanzo had gently rested his hand on Bi-Han’s arm and leaned in to press the softest of kisses to Bi-Han’s cheek. If Hanzo was at all less touch negative, it might have been written off as merely an affectionate goodbye, but Hanzo very much was not for casual touching, and given how they had been trying and seeing how romance would be like between the two of them…

It did not help that at that point, Bi-Han was still very much not used to the heat of Hanzo’s skin and tended to have some form of reaction to skin to skin contact. So between that and the kiss, Bi-Han recoiled from him in double shock. Hanzo had reacted promptly, snapping away from Bi-Han and even lifting up his hands.

“I am so sorry, Bi-Han, I wasn’t thinking,” Hanzo said softly, looking absolutely guilt ridden.

Bi-Han quickly realized that he needed to assure all was well before Hanzo kicked himself too hard. He pressed that he was fine and that the motion was fine, he was just startled. He made sure to stress to Hanzo that all was well until that painful 'kicked puppy’ look finally fell off his face. Bi-Han even reached out and took Hanzo’s head, squeezing it softly to let him know all was well. But the whole event left a bad taste in Bi-Han’s mouth and he stewed about it for a few days before Hanzo finally came back around for a visit.

“Kiss me again,” Bi-Han said, startling Hanzo.

There was a few fumbling words, a handsome blush to a handsome face, and then Hanzo just hesitantly leaned forward to gently brush their lips together. It was perhaps almost childish in the chasteness, but given their history, it was just perfect for them. Bi-Han still fondly remembered the tender little brush of lips together, tender and gentle as could be. The soft warmth of Hanzo’s skin against him and the soft sound of his breathing and when he leaned back, the soft look on his face was also worth remembering.

“Good,” Bi-Han said, not sure if he was asking or stating it.

“Good,” Hanzo sighed.
