I wasn’t interested in Gia Bao at first but I still gave him signals, but thanks to this method I successfully became close friend with the rich guy. Eventually, I genuinely cared about them and I was devastated when they died, our relationships weren’t 100% fake

Of love and war: first time they met (before the event of Lan Chi’s reincarnation)
Due to his position as the emperor of the Absolon Kingdom, several lords urged him to find an empress and produce a future heir to the throne. Idris understood the importance of having an heir and organized a ball to find the candidate for the position. However, he still wished to marry the person he truly loves.
Lan Chi was secretly having a relationship with a “low-ranking” (according to her parents) policeman, knowing they would never approve of their relationship. She was forced to attend the ball, but she tried her best to avoid the emperor of the kingdom.
Unfortunately, the gossiping and flattering atmosphere of the ball suffocated the young emperor, so he sneaked out to the garden and found Chi wandering there. For some unknown reason, he fell in love with her at first sign, as if he had known her for many years already. Obviously, Chi was frightened when she saw him, LOL
