Melora: It was okay, I got some photos of those wildflowers like we talked about.

Savannah:Oh you took your camera today?

Melora: Just the small one, I only did one roll of the flowers.  

Savannah:You can develop them in the dark room later tonight if you want, I’ve already got some drying but there’s plenty of space left for you.

Savannah: How was your day honey?

Melora: Grams?  Grams are you home?

Savannah:Upstairs!

Huck: You must have read most of the books in this library by now?

Melora:Not really, I usually just end up re-reading my favourites.

Bramble: If there are favourites just put them on your birthday list and they’re yours.

Melora:Thanks Bram, I might but some of those books are like old friends at this point.  I couldn’t just stop visiting them, they might get lonely.  

Huck:They’re books Mel, they don’t have feelings.

Melora:Is it okay if I leave them behind the desk for you to bring home?  I’m just going to be out taking photos for a while longer.

Bramble:Sure thing Nugget, you know the drill.  I’ll just be in the back tagging the new releases.  

Bramble: Hey Nugget, anything you need?  Feel like catching lunch with your favourite uncle?  I’m suddenly craving burritos. 

Huck: K so that’s rude?

Melora:I can’t stay, I’m just dropping off Fredo’s returns.  But I thought I might pick up a couple new books while I’m here. 

Bramble: Anything in particular you’re looking for?

Melora: Maybe another biography, I’m not sure.

Huck: Trees belong to all of us dad, as living creatures on this earth.  They cannot be stolen when they don’t belong to any “school”.

Bram: Go peddle your crap somewhere else because we’re not buying it.

Huck: So I can leave?

Bram:No, but keep whining and I’ll put you on shelf reading duty.  

Huck: What are you doing here anyways?

Melora:Just returning some books for Fredo while I was out taking photos.  I thought I’d come in to see you guys.

Huck: If you’re not going to take over my shift you could at least bring me lunch then?  I want a burrito.  

Melora: Do you have money?

Huck: No because all my money is going towards paying for stupid landscaping.

Melora: Then no burrito for you.  

Huck:But I’m starving!

Bram: You should have thought about that before making a series KitKot videos of your tree stealing prank.

Huck:It’s so unfair, why am I the only one stuck in here all day?

Melora:Because you’re the one who stole all the trees from school property.

Huck:Borrowed!  I put them back.

Melora:Didn’t you lose one?

Huck:I didn’t lose it, I just put it somewhere…better.

Huck: Please, oh please tell me you’re coming to free me.

Melora: Free you?  

Huck: I hate it here, it’s so boring, and this computer isn’t even connected to the internet.  I’ve been playing Minesweeper for the last hour and a half.

Melora:What no patrons to distract you?

Huck:I wish, it’s just been a few elderly people who come by to talk about how nice it is we finally fixed this place up?  For real Mel, that happened before I was born.  

Daylily: Did you want to take Dusty with you?

Melora: I would, but I couldn’t find him.

Alfredo: He’s asleep on my bed, Dad took him for a run this morning before he left for work.

Melora: Oh I’ll just leave him be then.    

Puck: Can you deliver a message to Huck when you see him for me?

Melora: Maybe, depends what it is.

Puck: Don’t worry it’s easy to remember, just tell him [long extended burp].

Melora: I’m leaving now.

Puck: Make sure you tell him!

Melora:Where’s Huck this morning anyways?

Alfredo:Where mom can’t see him.

Daylily: He’s at work with your father where he can see him.

Melora: Oh is he still serving out his punishment for the tree thing?

Puck: He’s going to be working to pay off that debt until he graduates.  

Alfredo:He forgot my stuff to return this morning too.  So now I have to go down there after lunch.

Melora: I can do it, I was going to go for a walk anyways.  I wanted to get some photos of the new wildflowers down by the creek.  

Alfredo: If this is a cost thing, we could always cut back on his feeding him.

Puck: Just make Melora move out, aren’t you supposed to be a college graduate or something?

Daylily: No.  Melora is not moving out.

Melora:I can’t say it hasn’t crossed my mind…

Daylily:Meloracan’t move out, she’s my only ally in this house.  No, nobody is leaving, you’re all staying right where I can see you.  

Alfredo: Hey mom I have a great idea, why don’t we send Puck to boarding school in Willow Creek?

Puck: I agree with Alf –

Alfredo:Don’t call me Alf.

Puck: I’d finally get to be known as something other than “one of the triplets”.

Alfredo: See?  Everyone wins!

Daylily: Too bad because it’s not happening.
