Pride was a riot in 1969, and it continues to be in 2020. Yesterday was beautiful and became horrifying once the NYPD decided to infiltrate for no real reason. They continue to hide their badges, beat, pepper spray and arrest protestors and for nothing more than a power trip. I thought for a moment folks around me, including myself, might get run over bc it got wild so quickly. Still processing today. Processing that I even had those thoughts and feel very lucky we’re ok and safe
Thank you to everyone posting and trying to spread the word. Lucky to have been a part of yesterday’s amazing shower of love, surrounded by some incredible humans. And a shout out to the @queermarch organizers for trying their best to keep us safe and making yesterday so special.
