By now, you’ve probably heard of the xenophobic freak out from bigots, racists, and other slimeballs who call themselves “Americans,” during the SuperBowl when the Coca-Cola Company aired a commercial that featured “America the Beautiful” being sung in multiple languages. If you haven’t, I’ll give you a second to catch your breathe as I know hearing that “America the Beautiful” being sung in languages that are not English can cause true American patriots to hyperventilate.
Coca-Cola aired the commercial on TV again. This time, Coke aired the commercial during the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony.
Now, of course, the tweets during the SuperBowl, an America-centric event where American Football is played, were very ridiculous. But, there is something just a bit more insane/hilarious/bizarre/awful about these people complaining about a multilingual commercial…DURING THE OLYMPIC GAMES, an event the world takes part in, which is taking place in Sochi, Russia, during an opening ceremony where English was certainly not the default spoken language.
Anyway, here is a small collection of some more xenophobic idiots who don’t like the multilingual Coke commercial, especially not during their multilingual Olympic games broadcast…
Again, America the Beautiful is not the national anthem. Unless, she’s pissed that the Russian national anthem that was sung during the Olympic opening ceremony wasn’t in English?
LMAO —–> #thatisourlanguageAMERICA
haha yes it is the COMMERCIAL that dividing the country. of course it is.
If the United States fought wars so that the only language spoken in America was English, than I guess the United States lost them all.
With all that said, I feel like the following thread sums the entire situation up all too well…
“I stand corrected and I never said my English was any good. The commercial still stinks.”
USA! USA! USA!
