Getting ready for work took that little bit longer while half her life remained in boxes, but Kagome eventually got them out the door. While walking from his place wasn’t anything new, Inuyasha forgoing his turn and continuing towards Kagome’s workplace was.
“You’re that way,” she said, pointing in the direction he should have been going.
“Hm,” he hummed, looking over his shoulder towards the crosswalk where they usually parted. “Thought I’d walk you all the way.”
“You’re not going to be late?”
“Nah,” he said, raising their joined hands to place a kiss against her knuckles. “I’ve got time.”
