LIVE

So I kinda have a feeling that something is happening with Osblaine in whatever they’re filming now for season 5 based on someone’s insta posts.

Might sounds weird if you know what I’m talking about. Listen. All I’m saying is he typically only does this when June and Nick are LIT. If the past is any indication, I’m feeling positive.

That’s all I’m gonna say about that.

blessedbetheblaine:

He so amazing at emoting. He doesn’t have to say a word. You know what he is thinking and feeling. He is just gazing at her; totally in love and in awe. That loving stare and the smirk. As soon as she looks away his heart is breaking…the double blink and signature jaw clinch. He is reveling in this moment with her and their daughter but in his mind he knows this will never happen again. This is goodbye.

resistancerising56:

Take that BITCHES!!! Season 4 proved them wrong, and confirmed what Osblaines have always known.

blessedbetheblaine:

You know Nick has been waiting to do that for a long time.

4x9 Try and Be Happy

In most Osblaine moments- Nick smiles, or at least smirks.

In most Osblaine moments, June gives Nick hope. She’s like his charging station. He rolls in, running on fumes, and she fills his tank. She reminds him that he is loved and worthy, which allows him to remember what he’s fighting for- and that gives him the strength to survive until their next meeting.

What’s different about the 4x9 Osblaine moments- is they don’t cheer Nick up.

Outside in the snow, he nods at her joke. But it kind of wasn’t funny, right? Because he isdying inside. He doeshave a metaphorical noose around his neck. Any day the chair could get kicked and he could be dead. “Hanging in there-” Not comfortable, not stable, not sustainable. Not currently falling to his death, but who knows, today might be the day.

Nickdidsmile when he gave June the file on Hannah, bc it made June smile. He showed June that Hannah was safe, which gave her peace.

Knowing Hannah was happy made June happy.

Knowing June was happy made Nick happy.

And when he kisses her on the windowsill, for a few moments, he’s back in June’s arms. All is right with the world.

He doesn’t smile after, because it was their lastkiss. There’s no longer any hope. No longer anything for him to look forward to. No next meeting, no future. No more refills, that was your last taste of hope.

And outside in the snow- like always- JUNE has to break the moment and walk away. That’s cannon with them. Nick never lets go first. She has to pry herself out of his arms, his bed, and force herself to leave him. She has to do it on the bridge, in the hospital- bc Nick can’t leave her. Nick would keep kissing her forever and get caught and killed. (see: 1x6 wall kiss, hospital kiss, bridge kiss).

So just like always, in 4x9 June breaks away, and Nick looks like he’s gonna fucking die.

I turn the brightness all the way up just so I can see Max’s incredible face acting there- Nick is legit the most miserable we’ve ever seen him.

Nick’s last wish?

Not “call me” or “write me” or “remember me.”

“Try and be happy.”

Not a command. He knows happiness isn’t a switch you can turn off and on. He knows it will be hard.

But if (IF) June can STAY safe, and find some happiness?

Then all of his suffering will be worth it. And maybe Nick can find some peace.

If he can’t be with her, he needs to know she’s ok.

So that’s his ask.

Tryand be happy. So that I can survive this loss.

This scene will be f-o-r-e-v-e-r stuck in my head. Everything is based on their nuances. No big speeches, just a simple sentence containing the world. Their world. Their story together.

THANKS FOR THIS BREAKDOWN!

Fact:The Handmaid’s Tale 211 is BRILLIANT. Lizzie deserves all the awards. But, we do wonder why they cut any mention of her thinking of Nick while having his baby (and fearing he may be dead). These are two of the voiceovers in the script that didn’t make it to screen. Thoughts?

We’re so glad June had this brief moment with Holly in The Handmaid’s Tale 211 before the help she called for with her shotgun arrived. We’re in awe of the emotional strength it must have taken to make the decision to give up on her escape so that her daughter would be safe.

The Handmaid’s Tale

Season 2 episode 10

The Last Ceremony

In this moment they are the only people in the world who matter

We would never leave The Handmaid’s Tale 211 without a focus on the amazing mom June is. Yes, she tried to SO hard to find you Hannah and this video only shows a few of the many examples.

Do you think June will get to Hannah one more time before The Testaments starts?

Watch the journey from Script to Scene of Nick and June’s most public show of affection in The Handmaid’s Tale episode 210 as he lovingly escorts her from the ambulance up to the Waterford house in anticipation of their baby coming

Then read about Max and Lizzie’s experience as actors during this scene-sounds like the set’s surprisingly fun atmosphere (despite the heavy content).

Lawrence said it best. “Gilead doesn’t care about children. Gilead cares about power.” In The Handmaid’s Tale episode 210, Serena proves this by suggesting that Fred violently rape a 9 month pregnant June and then holding her down as he does it. Should she remain free in in Canada in Season 5?

These two are one of our very favorite underused The Handmaid’s Tale character pairings. In episode 210, Rita comes directly to Nick to tell him that June is ok and not in labor after all and the look they give Fred is delightful. Do you think these characters will ever meet again?

This week’s rewatch of The Handmaid’s Tale episode 210 is a tough one, with lots of tears involved-BUT it holds this heartbreakingly beautiful moment of the overwhelming love between Nick & June.

What show moment do you think portrays their love the deepest?

The Handmaid’s Tale

Season 2 episode 9 Smart Power

I met your husband, he’s the one that got them out. He loves you.

❤️ Thank you for bringing me that

Love this moment in The Handmaid’s Tale 209 when Fred realizes Moira escaped and she seems to maybe finally kick her Ruby personality and guilt to the curb. What do you think is going through Fred’s mind here? Is he capable of feeling guilt for his rapes?

Finally, Mark Tuello arrives on The Handmaid’s Tale in Episode 209! We have LOTS of questions about these two but for now… Why do you think she didn’t accept Mark’s offer of coconuts & treason on the heels of Fred’s mortifying belting (and this childish picture itinerary)?
