What Alexis Bledel did on The Handmaid’s Tale was nothing short of exceptional. Such a haunting portrayal as a lesbian put through absolute hell under Gilead. Gave us some of the most memorable, powerful moments of the series in the performance of her life. Will be sorely missed on the show. ☹️

ETA: To be clear, she’s just leaving the series. Nobody died, haha. And hopefully her character won’t die on the show… but apparently this read like an obit, so I’ve updated.

Fact:The Handmaid’s Tale 211 is BRILLIANT. Lizzie deserves all the awards. But, we do wonder why they cut any mention of her thinking of Nick while having his baby (and fearing he may be dead). These are two of the voiceovers in the script that didn’t make it to screen. Thoughts?

We’re so glad June had this brief moment with Holly in The Handmaid’s Tale 211 before the help she called for with her shotgun arrived. We’re in awe of the emotional strength it must have taken to make the decision to give up on her escape so that her daughter would be safe.

The Handmaid’s Tale

Season 2 episode 10

The Last Ceremony

In this moment they are the only people in the world who matter

We would never leave The Handmaid’s Tale 211 without a focus on the amazing mom June is. Yes, she tried to SO hard to find you Hannah and this video only shows a few of the many examples.

Do you think June will get to Hannah one more time before The Testaments starts?

Watch the journey from Script to Scene of Nick and June’s most public show of affection in The Handmaid’s Tale episode 210 as he lovingly escorts her from the ambulance up to the Waterford house in anticipation of their baby coming

Then read about Max and Lizzie’s experience as actors during this scene-sounds like the set’s surprisingly fun atmosphere (despite the heavy content).

Lawrence said it best. “Gilead doesn’t care about children. Gilead cares about power.” In The Handmaid’s Tale episode 210, Serena proves this by suggesting that Fred violently rape a 9 month pregnant June and then holding her down as he does it. Should she remain free in in Canada in Season 5?

These two are one of our very favorite underused The Handmaid’s Tale character pairings. In episode 210, Rita comes directly to Nick to tell him that June is ok and not in labor after all and the look they give Fred is delightful. Do you think these characters will ever meet again?

This week’s rewatch of The Handmaid’s Tale episode 210 is a tough one, with lots of tears involved-BUT it holds this heartbreakingly beautiful moment of the overwhelming love between Nick & June.

What show moment do you think portrays their love the deepest?

Unfortunately this sounds familiar. #bansoffourbodies

The Handmaid’s Tale

Season 2 episode 9 Smart Power

I met your husband, he’s the one that got them out. He loves you.

❤️ Thank you for bringing me that

Love this moment in The Handmaid’s Tale 209 when Fred realizes Moira escaped and she seems to maybe finally kick her Ruby personality and guilt to the curb. What do you think is going through Fred’s mind here? Is he capable of feeling guilt for his rapes?

Finally, Mark Tuello arrives on The Handmaid’s Tale in Episode 209! We have LOTS of questions about these two but for now… Why do you think she didn’t accept Mark’s offer of coconuts & treason on the heels of Fred’s mortifying belting (and this childish picture itinerary)?

In this week’s rewatch of 2x09, Nick smuggles the Jezebels letters out of Gilead and into Luke’s hands-after Moira got them to June in S1. It’s a pretty cool journey between June’s best friends-take a closer look at some of the letters from The Art and Making of The Handmaid’s Tale

Tell us your thoughts on the importance of these letters.

“Now I’m awake to the world. I was asleep before. That’s how we let it happen. When they slaughtered Congress, we didn’t wake up. When they blamed terrorists and suspended the Constitution, we didn’t wake up then either. They said it would be temporary.”
