March 2015, Patagonia - Early evening light over the peaks of the Parque Nacional Los Alerces. The alerce pine is one the world’s longest living trees, and the Los Alerce reserve has the largest forest of these trees in Argentina. Some of the alerce in the park have been discovered to be over 3000 years old.
When I visited the area on assignment for @british_airways High Life magazine in March 2015, the National Park was partly closed due to a huge wild fire. The smoke from this fire can be seen casting shadows in the sky in this photograph.
