‍ Happy Pride Month ‍

So, we have there…

Canon Maxis LGBTQ+ premades: Circe Beaker, Jason Clevelend, Titania Summerdream, Kent and Ariel Capp

Premades who revealed as LGBTQ+ sims through ts2 community (absolutly canon too): JRO (Johnny, Ripp and Ophelia), Nervous Subject&Pascal Curious and Tybalt Capp&Mercutio Monty

And my personal headcanons: in my game all plantsims are pansexual with non-binary identities (that’s why Rose Greenman is here!). And obviously PT9 is pansexual too! I mean he doesn’t care about your gender, he ‘will pollinate’ you and your father

I recently found out a theory the Curious brothers may be based on The Lone Gunmen’ main characters. And it’s so accurate!

cw: mention of [imaginary] dеath

That’s the way life goes: one day you, too, will have to bury your parents (although it’s still much better than the timeline where they have to bury you first)

Alternative title: Dear lord, sometimes this line of work suсks аss.

Inspired by *gestures broadly and vaguely* stuff.

But if you’d like more precision, I was thinking about how it’s a really neat idea to let Nervous take over dеath’s responsibilities – I mean, the offspring of Olive gоddamn Specter and Grim Reaper can’t just diе a street punk – but he’ll most certainly outlive Pascal and many other people, and it’ll be very sad and trаgic. Just the way I like it.

Now please read under the cut, sweetheart, I beg of you.

I’ve done preliminary checks, and it seems like Pascal/Nervous shippers don’t have any uniform tags anyway, but I’d still like to make a humble request of anyone who’s into that sort of thing. Please bear in mind that this piece is absolutely notabout the pairing, and approach it accordingly. At least be a darling and don’t put shipping tags if you’re going to reblog. Thanks.

It’s a bit surprising to me that Pascal/Nervous is even considered a romantic pairing on Simblr, and a popular one at that. I’ve come back to the community quite recently, and a smaller community that I used to be a part of before treated their dynamic in a very different manner.

Since Nervous is the adopted child of the Beakers, people perceived him exactly like that – Strangetown’s oldest kid. It was even speculated that he’d been seen as a teenager during the development, but images of minоrs on electric chairs aren’t really a daijoubu thing for game ratings. On the other hand, Pascal’s the same age as Loki even with Strangetown’s botched timeline and preparing to be a dad, therefore he’s Strangetown’s adult, and we don’t ship adults with kids for obvious reasons.

Ages aside, since they can be quite wonky when it comes to this neighborhood, is Nervous even ready for an intimаte relationship? He’s fresh out of school, his best example of a relationship is the Beakers, his aspiration is in shambles, and his traits are… something. He’s a hyperactive stinky еvil dеath goblin. This guy needs sledgehammer-heavy therapy rather than boyfriends. I’d at the very least not trust him with Tycho or any other kid.

And with all these differences in age, life experience and social standing, Pascal just seems more fitting as a parent or brother type figure. I mean, if an acquaintance of your no-good parents treats you as a friend, it’s probably because they’re looking out for you, not because they have feelings for you.

Obviously, I’m not telling anyone to stop shipping these two. God forbid. Your preferences are yours only, and I’m simply making it clear why I prefer to portray these characters in a different way. We’re good? Good.

Peace!
