TS4 - Art

Hope 2022 has been good and you had fun bringing it in. My neighbors sure had a blast New Year’s Eve, literally. They were shooting fireworks and guns, not sure if alcohol was involved but with all the carrying on I’m pretty sure they were all “two sheets to the wind”. I slept in the family room (it’s in the middle of the house) just in case the house caught on fire or a bullet flew through my window. Last night I could hear a pin drop, guess they were working on that hangover. I had to check to see if the neighbors had all moved. Didn’t have a problem seeing either, because “Griswold” who lives across the street had allll his lights on.

Anywho, have some paintings for you guys….

This or that?

I made a series of sims 2 townies a while ago with the purpose of making sims look as close to the “original” version as possible. And I think I did a decent job. What do you guys think?

WFS Big Barn Extras

Building the Big Barn lot (will upload tomorrow) I realized I needed some matching stuff. I mean, the Barn must match, right?

In this set:

- 2 barbecues, use together or separate, from the original set for Sims 2 by Wood for Sims

- Planting soil - using texture and edited mesh by WFS, a planting plot a little different from the ea one - plant less square :P

- Soil floor, matching

- Soil terrain paint, matching

- Outhouse - edit and recolor of the EA public toilet, use on your lot or place elsewhere with T.O.O.L by TwistedMexi

- Chicken Coop, matching

- Animal Shed, matching - edited to be less modern and more versatile

- Animal Shed NO SHED-version to use inside the barn
I edited away the shed and left now is the hay through. Click on that for actions - buy animal ect.

- Two buffet tables matching the Big Barn counters
The bigger one matches the normal counters and can easily be combined with them. The smaller one matches the island counters and can be combined with them and the bar. Slot for cake on the cake stand.

The big buffet here shown with two side counters (get them by using the normal counter with “auto-modular off” and pick the shorter end versions) which you can use to place tea/coffee brewer or punch fountain. Lots of slots!

- and finally, a Jump Hay Pile, which uses tuning and animations by @pandasamacc - go get their kids trampoline for use inside, you need that for this to work.

Peasant kids also need fun stuff to do!

WFS Big Barn Decorative

Included in the original set for Sims 2 by Wood for Sims was also a lot of deco items for your Big Barn.

- Deco Corn (plants) - they sway in the wind! 3 variations.

WFS Big Barn Furniture

I know I promised to post during the weekend, and then I decided to include the counters in the original set… lots of counters. My very first modular counters, included. 40 swatches.

But let’s start with the beds.

The original set included a single bed, done with comfy straw and an old blanket. I think its perfect as a base for bunk beds, so these beds are included:

- Single bed

- Double bed (adapted for bunk beds)

- Toddler bed

- Top Bunk Bed

- Bottom Bunk bed

- Deco frames. Can of course be used for my other beddings.

- Dresser, adapted for bunk beds

- 1x1 desk, adapted for bunk beds

Also, a floor bed for toddlers, based on @pandasamaccsfantastic bed. (You need that one for this to work.)

Then we have the tables.

- 1x1 dining table, seats 4

- 2x1 dining table, seats 6 (not in pic)

- 3x1 dining table, seats 8

- 5x1 dining table, seats 12

- 6x0 dining table, seats 12

- dining chair (the classic 3-legged stool)

Lights - candles with extra safety. Ceiling, wall and table model.

Works off-grid.

The Counters

- Modular counter - works with other sinks also

- Modular wall cabinets. some with deco

- 1 deco counter with deco, non-modular

- 2 special counters for sink, with drawers or cupboard

- 1 deco counter with shelves, with slots

- Kitchen sink. Does not work with cutout, if I solve that I will of course update - works with the 2 special counters, though.

- Modular island counters

- 1-tile bar, which works with the island counters

- A wooden larder (fridge)

- A small wooden larder (mini-fridge, needs University EP)

- Rain Barrel sink, with or without pipe

Big Barn Part 1 - Build Items

The swatches:

In addition to WFS 5 original wood colors I added @zx-ta s 10 woods, and another 3: Grey, Falu Red, and Grandma Lisas Blue.

Falu Red is the traditonal red paint used in Sweden. It was actually a bi-product of the Falu Copper Mine, and became a standard color from 17th century and onwards. This is the origin for the classic Swedish Cottage painted red and most often with white deco.
TheLisa Blue is inspired by my Great Grandma Lisa (1864-1945). I never met her, but grew up with the story about her blue cottage. She loved this blue color, which was not at all common at the time in the Swedish North where she lived in a small village. She shocked the whole village using this blue color. I had a playhouse when I was little painted Lisa Blue.

In Part 1:

Two updated wood floors (new swatches) (first posted with the Winery set)
One new floor
One ground cover (terrain paint)

Four wall variations - vertical, horizontal, with corners, and with deco colored corners.

Three windows - 1-tile, a small version of the 1 tile, and a big barn window
Three doors + three door frames

Three fences - low, medium and tall

Two gates - I made these from the door meshes, because the fences needed gates.
