Cleaned this up from the Loki sketches I posted earlier. The original idea was to have Loki spinning the sword around his finger buuuut I couldn’t make that work out in a way I was satisfied with, so that’s why he’s balancing his sword!
Added some other versions because I couldn’t decide whether to keep the background gradient and to also show it without the shading because I was rather lazy with it.
When I first started drawing Loki’s face, he looked terrifying, but now I feel like I’ve either I’ve moved away from that or I’ve just got used to it and it doesn’t look so unsettling anymore. My goal was to make him not always appear so terrifying so…maybe I’ve succeeded?
If you can, please view it from the mobile app! There is some minor weirdness when not using the mobile app and seeing the full image, but you should still get what I was going for. If you can’t though, you can also view it on Twitter where it appears to work better on desktop, instead of the mobile app. I do have both images below, however!
But because of how transparent images are handled in full view in the web browser by not having a completely black background, the SMILE text is still present. I could remove it, but I like the idea of the SMILE and sparkles vanishing. But it’s good to know for the future if I want to do more transparent image tricks.

This is one of our favorite scenes! We’ve been wanting to do this shoot since playing through November 20 in the game, but we didn’t want to do it too early and spoil a lot of people. Now that it actually is November 20 in real life, we figured it would be a good date to release this photo set!
Persona Q2 for the Phantom Thieves can be summed up in one song title parody; Trapped In A Movie Theater With Someone You Don’t Want To Be Trapped In A Movie Theater With. (reference)
I know it’s because Persona Q2 doesn’t want to spoil things for people who haven’t finished Persona 5, but godI wish they utilized the fact that the Phantom Thieves have all been trapped in this theater at a time when Akechi is going to murder their leader in like a week, and they all collectively are pretending they don’t know this.
It’s just so much lost comedy and tension potential here to have them dance around the whole thing, and it’s a huge lost opportunity considering the original PQ had tons of ironic foreshadowing surrounding Minato and Shinjiro’s situations.
