Prompt 20: Petrichor
Silent vigil in front of a headstone. A pile of rolanberries sitting atop. A fox eating at the offering. Rumbles of thunder in the cloud hazed sky. It was the time of Olette’s nameday and like clockwork, he was here. The berries were offered and the fox came and ate. The same fox from many turns passed. The near two year old toddler watched the fox eat and took a rolanberry for herself. The fox watched and ears lowered but allowed it, yet repositioned to protect the offering.
“These are for Auntie Olette, leave them be.” Syluss didn’t put much stock in reincarnation or avatars of passed souls, but this was his one exception, his way to make peace with it all.
Evelyn plops down on her behind and places her hands on the headstone and looks back at her daddy. “Ow-ette.” The child spoke the name and turned her head off to the side, looking at neither Syluss or the fox, and stared.
“Olette. Ole-ette. But very good.” The sky rumbles again.
“Ole-ette.” The girl squealed with delight for reasons obvious only to her.
The pat of a single rain drop on the stone. Then another. Then many more. And the Koellian father and daughter did not move. They embraced the rain, but something about this rain seemed special. Meaningful. Purposeful.
“Yup, Auntie Olette.” The woodsmans ear twitch and he is drawn to look to his side. Feeling not just eyes on them, but a smile. Evelyn waved in the same direction and giggles before slapping at the slowly formed puddles.

I don’t read all that many graphic novels but I love, love, LOVE Saga!!! Seriously, this series is too good and even if you’re kind of ambivalent about graphic novels I highly recommend this one. There are so many interesting characters and designs but I only had time for these. I’ll probably add to the set later. I mean, Gwendolyn!! GHUS!!!
And for those of you who collect the volumes like I do, let’s try not to think about the fact that Vol 9 isn’t out till OCTOBER. ;__;

Festivale was so much fun!
I have never drawn. Neither on paper nor digitally. But I’ve admired these selfmade maps for a long time and I really wanted one. So I just tried it
It took me almost four days to do it, professionals can probably do it in a few hours
I only drew the map itself, for the details I took screenshots in the game and added them onto the map. The museum, town hall, Nook’s Cranny and Able Sisters are images from the AC Wiki.
The small designs, i.e. the road, the stones and the flag, are the original ones that I also use on my island ingame They’re my own designs.
Let’s go hiking!
