Portia and her brother Michael are also doing incredible work with General Public Art; creating and sending Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) all over the United States.
I have been enjoyed watching Portia learn to cook on Instagram!
Portia joined Ellen to talk about the good work her company, General Public, has been doing. While they usually make art, Portia talked about how they’ve found a way to use their equipment to instead make thousands of face shields for medical workers. She also talked about how she’s been cooking more during their time in quarantine.
Hello everyone, I hope you’re all staying safe, healthy and self-isolating or staying at home (if you can).
It seems that Instagram is the place to be for quarantine entertainment at the moment, If you’re looking for a good laugh or some light-hearted fun, I’ve listed some instagram accounts below (I’ll try and keep this list updated):
2020 Santa Barbara Magazine | Portia de Rossi (General Public Art)
“We are so happy to share our latest work of art… actress and entrepreneur Portia de Rossi graces the cover of our 2020 Home + Garden issue. Since she left acting and Los Angeles behind, Portia de Rossi has focused her energy on life in Montecito and pursuing her new business, General Public Art, making art more accessible for everyone.” - Santa Barbara Magazine Instagram
Ellen sat down with her wife Portia de Rossi for the last time, Portia shared what she thinks Ellen should do after the show comes to an end.
Portia also recalled her experience watching the very first episode of “The Ellen Show” by herself, gave an update on Ellen’s campus in Rwanda, talked about how her grandmother was a huge fan of Ellen and her sitcom; until the episode where she came out as gay.
If you want to read the full story of Portia’s Grandmother, I highly recommend her biographical book “Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain”.
The Best of Arrested Development on The Ellen Show (2003-2022) Part 1
After 19 seasons, The Ellen Show (2003) shot it’s final episode Friday 29th April and the last episode will air Thursday May 26th in the USA.
It’s crazy to think that in 2003 Arrested Development was in it’s first season (would go on to win 5 Primetime Emmy Awards in 2004), Jason Bateman would make his first appearance on The Ellen Show.
Fun Fact: The Ellen Show featured an Arrested Development Banana Stand skit during it’s few seasons (there was a clip on YouTube a few years ago but I can’t find it).
The Ellen Show Celebrates 3,000 Shows with Twitch and Portia de Rossi
I cannot believe the The Ellen Show has reached 3,000 shows!
It is truly incredible especially considering what Ellen had to go through to get the show in the first place, everyone that has been involved in making the show (past/present) and the fact that they’ve been able to bounce back quite successfully after the recent controversy during a global pandemic.
I’ve been watching The Ellen Show on/off since 2009; when Justin Bieber was trending all over the internet, I found Arrested Development the same year, found through Wikipedia that she was married to Portia de Rossi and the rest is history and laughed out loud crying at all of The Ellen Show funny moments on YouTube!
As Oprah once said, Ellen (The Ellen Show) is light and I truly believe that; yes she may have flaws but who doesn’t?
Also, the comments on this YouTube video warm my heart so much If you watch The Ellen Show, what have been some of your favourite moments?
