I’m building a web-based poster-design application with p5.js, based on a flexible visual system, defined by these parameters:
1. Colors: var yellow = “#FFF69B”; var black = “#222222”; var white = “#f1f1f1”; 2. Only use fonts by _openstudio : SM Maxéville and SM Häuser 3. Use the text „THE KINETIC SOUND ENSEMBLE“ 4. Background: #aaaaaa
I slowly get my head around 3D camera-motion in Processing. I did this sketch on my way home in the ICE from Karlsruhe to Kassel. The typographic data-layer on top is heavily inspired by the excellent „open codes“-exhibition at @zkmkarlsruhe, which I have visited today.
Dunes, the second single of Alexandre Bazin’s Concorde LP coming later this year.
It is aware in real-time. Cinematic bursts and electricity. Optimist painted blue. Diurnal state of being aware with the night. Nocturnal state of being awake with the morning. Evolving through 24 hours, it cycles through time with a natural sense. Diurnal state of being awake with the night. A metamorphosis in the landscape. It speaks 5 tracks with daylight; one along with the sunset; and waves to the moon 4 times. Liquid in suburbia. Landscapes of memories over clouds of neon: colored lenses. A weightless state of hovering a tree and a memory. Hot wind casting shadows. Semi-blue reflected orange, neon presence sign. Metallic. Between wayfinding and emotions. This is what we wrote to @alexandrebazinmusic when we first listened to Concorde LP, that will be released later this year. Thank you Alexandre and @kowtowrecords for allowing us to dance to Paris even though we can’t leave our homes. #graphicdesign #typography #thedesignblacklist #visualgrphc #collectgraphics #vsljrnl #designinspiration #designeveryday #dailytype #lebenliebegrafik #visualgrphc #posterunion #posterdesign #designeverywhere #grafikfeed https://www.instagram.com/p/CLkI0bch2Hd/?igshid=1jq6wo0nua9wk
Intro chapter of the catalog designed for the exhibition Frontiere: Contemporary Design Expressions, that was part of the 1st Porto Design Biennale 2019. Frontiere depicts stories of designers, companies and artisans that, reacting to the stimuli of the post-millennium reality and the new migratory flows, are discovering new dimensions in approaching design, resulting in interesting relationships here analysed through a territorial perspective.
Part of the Territorio Italia programme that comprises the Italian presence in the Porto Design Biennale 2019, Frontiere – Contemporary Design Expressions is an opportunity to reflect on some of the most interesting expressions of contemporary and emerging design in the current Italian panorama.

Data Walking is a research project exploring the potential of walking to gather environmental data and through multiple walks and visualisations build a rich picture the North Greenwich area.
It is the hypochondria, the thrill to belong and the drive to let go. The terrain, the arrogance to let it go and still flow along. It is the sunset and how it feels warm. No more than the temperature to meet the touch. Nothing else than the light to make us aware of sight. What does dust taste like? It is the long drive, the longest walk that in the end has a sound average lingering in its memories. It is the smell, the barometer, the gas, it is that city and the lack of its society in numbers. Data Walking is an allegory to the senses. How can one evoke the 5 senses via a series of generative graphics with emotive goals, while being true to the average numbers of each sensor in its respective month? Interpolating data with how it feels to be human, the abstract flows, per month and per sensor:
Smell — Gas Sound — Sound Average Taste — Dust Touch — Temperature Sight — Light
