Volunteer Baby Buddies at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta cuddle preemies all day long, providing an essential service for parents who can’t be there.
“Yeah?” the Mandalorian asked, hefting the pack on his back higher up his shoulder.
“So which one are you?”
Then again, judging from the man’s garb and his general demeanour, he was probably more native to these parts than the Mandalorian would ever be. It was beyond him if he was actually from this town, but everything else seemed fair game.
This planet was more lacking in technology than most others he’d seen– a relic, almost, of simpler days. Out of respect, the Mandalorian had done his best to land his ship far from the more populated areas; walking the rest of the way and finding the nearest town well past nightfall was a small price to pay for disrupting otherwise innocent people’s lives.
The saloon the man stood in front of still had its lights on, with people milling about laughing, drinking, playing cards. Part of him wondered why this man wasn’t in there with them, but this was less out of curiosity and more because he didn’t enjoy being stopped right at the entrance.
He kept his stance relaxed, though, and while the blaster at his hip wasn’t exactly hidden, the Mandalorian’s hand remained wrapped around the strap of his pack instead of hovering close to his holster.
If he could avoid any gunfights, it would be a blessing.
Chris watched him for a second longer. Relaxing slightly. Seemed pretty honest in the idea that he wasn’t looking for any actual trouble. Information. That was what got his attention to. Whatever he was looking for must have been interesting if he was coming here. Chris spent most of his life here, so had just about everyone that lived on this planet. So, someone new was bound to get attention. Something Chris wasn’t immune to.
Chris could still jump if he felt that he needed to. Get ready to fight, if the man decided that he would rather start trouble. But he didn’t mind seeing what kind of information he wanted.
Moving to make his way into the saloon Chris motioned for the other to follow him. “Don’t know what kind of information would bring ya to this place.”
The other thing that was coming to mind. He might not be looking for trouble but there was a good chance he brought it with him. Going to have to clean that up at some point too. Handle that later won’t they?
