Just want to add this real quick because it’s important.
I know it’s tempting to want to pirate this series but if you have the money then PLEASE don’t. Apple TV+ is only $5 a month so you can just pay for a month, watch the series (maybe multiple times) and then cancel. You could even just use the 1 week free trial if you need to. But please, let’s show the creators of the series (including actual paleoartists and scientists!) our support so that we can maybe see a season 2 or even a renewed interest in paleo media in general.
Real talk ok, this just makes me so unreservedly happy because it’s just something that I didn’t think anyone cared enough to create. A big-budget dinosaur project that pays so much attention to detail, anatomy, and engages in interesting, reasonable and thought-provoking speculation seemed like some unachievable holy grail, seeing it finally become real is wild.
I have such high hopes for this show and you bet I will be raving about every episode, because with even the tiny pieces we have so far this is shaping up to be potentially the dinosaur show of an entire generation, the same way Walking With Dinosaurs was more than 20 years ago.

not to sound like the world’s most broken record but holy shit could you imagine a true-to-text adaption of dinotopia with Prehistoric Planet-quality CGI? It would be. So good
i really really love the range in all the little prehistoric planet shorts. some of them are about hunts, some about mating, some about surviving harsh climates.
and then there’s one where a dino eats a little bit, and then he scratches an itch, and then he poops. 10/10 perfect dinosaur
There is really no media like Prehistoric Planet that makes you overcome with the belayed realization that these are just animals. They’re real animals that lived once and this is what Earth was like, this was our house before we moved in. Pop culture has been so inundated with sensationalist action movies and gory fast-paced video games that hearing David Attenborough’s voice narrate a group of tyrannosaurids sleeping in the desert sun is almost shocking. But so freaking cool and really really needed.
