I have two events to discuss in which Jo has accused the people managing her photoshoots of making her look different than what she portrays herself to look like in her photoshopped instagram selfies. (P.S. Sorry for the length of the post, trust me it’s worth it)

Ever since Johanna Herrstedt aka @multicolors signed onto the Global Model Scouting Blog Faces team, she attended some promotional events and photoshoots in their favor.

(1) The first event I will discuss is when her Blog Faces portrait was uploaded to her personal instagram account. (It’s since been deleted)

This was a shock to so many of her followers, I included, and she rushed to defend herself saying that the photographer deliberately photoshopped her to look different than her own edited instagram selfies. These are screen caps of instagram comments on her version of this picture.

This comment boasts a good point:

Why doesn’t Jo just have a non-filtered, live video stream of herself on youtube/younow? She’s never kept up videos of her talking, even (she’s deleted them). She had the false eyelash tutorial video where she’s speaking English from forever ago, but it’s a voiceover. Johanna continues to use the logic that she can’t edit her selfie videos. Her 4-second selfie videos where they’re from a very specific angle and she’s tensing every muscle in her faceto make her nose look smaller,etc.

This is the comment she’s replying to:

“Before it got mysteriously deleted” HAHAHA if you didn’t already know, Jo tends to read through what people comment and if they mention photoshop in a negative way, she deletes them.

This tumblr post compares Jo’s Blog Faces portrait to her face in the Kerbera music video she was in and they match a lot better than Jo’s photoshopped instagram selfies.

If she were to ever do a live HD stream (WHICH SHE’LL NEVER DO. She’s so predictable), watch out for: her hair covering most of her face, heavy make-up, an insane angle, jo over-tensing her face muscles, etc. Those are basically all of the techniques she uses, which I will get to in another post.

But PULL user meowmeow has some great insight on the matter that I thought I would share with you:

Which the main things I want you to pay attention to are:

“So I guess she’s planning on making more Youtube-videos in the future. That’ll be interesting. I would love to see her actually talking about things in front of the camera instead of short clips of her tensing every muscle in her face and shooting from a few selected angles but I doubt that will happen.”

And:

“If she wants to get a lot of views the smartest thing would be to do make up tutorials imo, as it’s frequently requested. For that to be possible she would have to learn how to be comfortable with appearing on camera with a full frontal view of her face though, which we know currently she is not. I’m guessing we will get to see many boring artsy fartsy compositions of her life with lana del rey music playing over it, but who knows.”
