Sterling, Skyla, and Gold Lily are based of toy-exclusive Princess characters of the same name, while Soleil and Selena are based on the infamous miscolored versions of Celestia and Luna. 

Sterling and Gold Lily are both princesses of some smaller land or nation I haven’t thought of and they’re a married couple. Skyla, Soleil, and Selena are their daughters
