Happy Thursday everybody! So here’s something a bit different to share with you today. Towards the end of my time on the independent film we were working on, I was asked by our director to go through the script and work up some story moment roughs that the board artists could bounce off of when the sequences were launched later on. They were a ton of fun to do and the best of challenges. Admittedly, I posted the last image a while ago, but I thought it might fun for folks to see the process behind it and the other images from the sequence. Swipe for a closer look. Happy Friday everybody! Hope things are good out your way. So here’s a bit more development from an independent film I was working on a while back called “Neighborhood Petwatch”. Sometimes things go in an unexpected direction on a project and this was definitely one of those times. Originally, the villain in our world was a much more menacing figure, very cold, calculating, and elitist. Happy Thursday to ya! Hope the week’s been a good one so far. So following up the recent “Shelly” post, this is another character from our independent film “Neighborhood Petwatch” named “Ranger”. His owner runs the neighborhood video game store and the two live in the apartment above the business. The idea was that Ranger actually thinks he’s living in a video game and moonlights as a gamer when his owner isn’t around. Think Michael Winslow from Police Academy meets a storm trooper at Comic Con, but in hamster form. Of the characters that we developed, Ranger was one of my favorites. Swipe to see more!
