.that’s what friends are for

yuzurk·:

it was nice of eric to step out of his way and come by to simply catch up with her. yuzu once again blamed her fool magics that sometimes just drew people in towards her in the most uncommon and unique ways. the streamer loved it and stopped questioning her own energy and ways long ago. as long as it kept people around her and they enjoyed her company as much as she enjoyed theirs, she’d be happy.

especially with him being equipped with beer and pizza makes yuzu all the more happy to see him hop by.ah yeah…, she begins, trying to figure out how to explain this one without really giving anything away. switched jobs recently n’ now I’m holed up more in another district. I usually grab a snack there before headin’ home instead of gettin’ delivery, my bad, the streamer apologized, rubbing the back of her neck.

I’ll be sure t'order again more in the future, promise. checking the cans out she gives a thumbs up back at him. this looks just neat t'me doe. lets sit down n’ crack these babies open?

eric’s probably not meant to make friends with the people he delivers pizza to, but somehow he ends up with regulars, often ones who ask for him by name. he’s got the old lady who lives only a few streets over from the store but doesn’t like going out after dark, then there’s the mother of three kids of elementary school age or younger who gets them a pizza as a treat once every week. but, eric’s got his own favourites as well, yuzu being one of them. he can get away with actually visiting his customers-turned-friends since he’s careful not to let his boss know. he’s probably get fired if he knew he was visiting a customer with alcohol late at night.

“not streaming anymore then?” he asks, having watched a few of her streams when he was able to catch them since learning about her streams. “i’m sure whatever you’re doing now is just as fun though, right? probably way more exciting than my jobs.” he tries not to ask too many questions, and let people offer up info to him, since he’s still unsure as to where he stands with the people he’s befriended through his jobs. he’ll offer up information about himself, but he usually won’t ask much in return.

“i’ve missed delivering to you.” he says as he breaks open the packaging of the cans and hands a can to her. “first time i tried this beer i was at a party with about a hundred other people and a guy almost threw up on me. fun times.” he says with a chuckle. “so, where are we eating this bad boy?” he asks, looking at the massive pizza box.

admittedly ever since yuzu started training for heartz, picking something up in yongsan to take home had been just easier and simpler than ordering from the usual places she’d like to frequent. one of those being the delivery service eric worked for. the guy was a nice one; ambitious, hard-working, friendly and kind.

so in a way it doesn’t surprise her all that much when he does show up at her door one evening after making sure she was home.

she still stands in the doorway as he makes his way to her door, a brow raised and a lopsided, amused grin on her lips. missed yer favourite customer that much, eh, she jokes, knowing the two of them were more friends by now than just customer and server. be it in a cafe to share some barista knowledge or her chatting him up after he delivers her a jumbo chicken pizza with garlic and extra cheese; those two always found themselves sharing a neat chat.

c’mon in, she says after having teased him long enough, stepping aside with a friendly smile. the beer he held along with the pizza was definitely an appreciated extra as well.

eric’s rather excited to see yuzu, she’s always managed to entertain him even if their conversations were short ones - she’s just the type of person eric likes. so, as he nears her door and sees her already standing there waiting, he grins. “definitely.” he responds, thinking about how long it had been since he last saw her. she’d been busy, and while he isn’t one to pry, he can’t say he’s not curious about what’s been keeping her so busy.

he’s more than happy at the invitation to come in, his legs aching from a long shift of cycling around delivering pizzas. it never gets any easier, sadly - he does have some nice thighs though. making his way inside he sets the pizza and beer down on her kitchen counter after slipping his shoes off by the door. “so, how’s my favourite customer been recently? you seem a lot busier.”

he tugs off the red baseball cap with the pizza place logo on it and shoves it into the pocket of his jacket, which he then shrugs off. “i don’t know which kind of beer you like best, so i hope this is okay.” he pats the top of the beer cans.

starter for @yuzurk!

eric likes to do nice things for his friends, oftentimes for no reason at all apart from that he just wants to. he likes to make his friends smile, and think of him as a good friend who keeps their feelings in mind even when he’s not with them. today, his mind has been on yuzu, thinking about how he’d not seen her in a while, and that she might like a surprise pizza.

he texts her, just to make sure she’s at home that evening, then goes to grab a heavily discounted pizza from the place he delivers for. he almost forgets, as he’s cycling his way over to where she lives, that he’s not just delivering to a random stranger, but as he’s almost there he decides to stop and buy a pack of beer to give her with her pizza.

stopping outside her apartment he chains up his bike and picks up the pizza and beer before heading up to her door. balancing the beer atop the pizza box he knocks, and wonders whether she’ll even be in the mood to entertain, or whether he’ll just leave the pizza and beer and then head back off home. either way he doesn’t mind - he just wanted to do something nice for his friend.
