Join us for the reveal of all the QuiObi Secret Santa works tomorrow, December 31!
All prompt fills need to be uploaded to the AO3 Collection today! You can post your prompt by navigating to the ‘Claims’ section of your AO3 dashboard and selecting ‘Fulfill’ on your claimed prompt.
If you need more time or aren’t going to be able to finish your prompt, please let us know. Thank you!
It’s almost time!
Just a reminder that your assignment needs to be posted to AO3 by this Friday, December 17th. You will be able to edit your assignment during the pinch-hit period, but the work needs to satisfy the minimum requirements by the deadline.
That said, please let us know if you need any kind of assistance, idea sounding boards, moral support, or possible extensions. If your assignment isn’t posted and we haven’t heard from you, we will assign a pinch-hitter on Saturday, December 18th.
This isn’t intended to cause stress. It’s just to make sure that everyone who signed up receives their Secret Santa gift. We definitely want this to stay fun for everyone.

The QuiObi Secret Santa 2021 is a holiday exchange event of fanfiction or fanart. This year, the exchange will be in the form of a prompt meme, which means that *anyone* with an AO3 account can submit a prompt request. This also means that creators can choose which prompt(s) they want to fill instead of receiving an assigned recipient. It’s a Secret Santa, so creators will be anonymous until the creator reveal on January 1st.
Timeline
Prompt submissions open: Friday, October 15th
Prompt submissions close: Tuesday, November 30th
Submission deadline: Friday, December 17th
Pinch-hit period: Saturday, December 19th-Thursday December 30th
Works revealed: Friday, December 31st
Creators revealed: Saturday, January 1st
Prompts may be claimed at any time. The mods will do their best to see that each prompt is claimed, but please be aware that there is a small chance your prompt will not be filled.

Rules
1.Posting prompts: the sign up form can be foundhere.Only 1 promptrequest is allowed per person, and anonymous prompts are not accepted.
2. Both slash and gen are welcomed
3. No underage content is allowed
4.Claiming a prompt: use the “Claim” button next to the prompt you want to claim. (You can find open prompts under “Prompts” in the sidebar.) You can claim a prompt without having submitted any of your own.
5. Your story or artwork is due by December 17th at 11:59 pm EST. If necessary, extensions may be obtained by contacting the mods at our email address.
6. Minimum requirements for the event are at least 500 words for fic (complete) and a clean sketch on unlined paper (or digital art equivalent) for art
7. Please only claim one prompt at a time. After you have completed your fill, you may claim a new one.
8. Respect your prompter’s dislikes and rating preferences
9. Please don’t publicly discuss or crosspost your work until after the creator reveal on January 1st, so it can remain a secret gift
10. You can post your prompt fill by navigating to the ‘Claims’ section of your AO3 dashboard and selecting ‘Fulfill’ on your claimed prompt
11. If you cannot finish your gift, please drop your claim as soon as possible. You can do so by navigating to the Claims’ section of your AO3 dashboard and selecting ‘Drop Claim’ on the prompt. If your work is not posted by the December 17th deadline and we have not heard from you, your claimed prompt will be added to the pinch hit list.
12. If you need to drop out, that’s okay. We get that things happen. You are welcome to sign up for another event with us, but if you need to default a second time in the future, we do ask that you send us a brief explanation. You don’t need to provide much detail. We have had issues with a participant signing up and then quickly defaulting on multiple exchanges. While we like to give the benefit of the doubt, we do need to keep things fair for all participants. Thanks for understanding!
