whump-bunny:

Okay but, Heartrate monitors:

- The defiant whumpee is strapped to a lab table, cussing out scientists and biting anyone who gets close enough to their strapped down head. They claim they’re not scared. Then a metal sensor is placed on their finger and suddenly rapid beeping fills the room, betraying Whumpee’s true terror.

- A caretaker falls asleep next to the unconsious Whumpee’s hospital bed. They are woken up by the loud cry of fast-paced beeping and a screaming whumpee.

- Whumpee needs a shot but is afraid of needles. They don’t want Caretaker to know because they’re embarrassed about it, but the heartrate monitor reveals their fear.

Heartrate monitors, guys.

OKAY Inexplicable Update:

I got my wisdom teeth out today, and it was the first time I’ve ever been put on anesthesia, so naturally I was a bit nervous. Except, I tried to pretend I wasn’t nervous, bc I didn’t want the doctors to know that I’m a big ol’ baby.

BUT LO AND BEHOLD, they put these sticky wire things on my chest and my hip, and then BOOM, my heartrate was beeping along on the monitor at 132 bmp, laying down. And the dentist said “That’s too high. Calm down.”

So yeah, basically, my original post is accurate to life. Use it in your Whump to your heart’s content. :)
