And of course, I know not everyone has access to a lot of food/ingredients right now so here’s a more simple recipe that only involves rice, fried eggs, and soysauce!
Add some seseme oil or avocados , any kind of ham or sausage , or some sauteed onions and mushrooms and it becomes an even more filling dish. Once again served with kimchi

Something a little different that I made back in October. It was meant to be an entry in the Spoonflower tea towel contest but I misremembered the deadline so, alas, it didn’t get entered! I made this by compiling a bunch of my existing illustrations and working over the top of them in @procreateapp on the iPad Pro with Apple Pencil.
I’m still working 99% traditionally, but it’s been fun to experiment with digital overlays and combining physical/digital illustration.

The brief was to create an Audubon-style, scientific illustration but for a recipe. This was my first time including lettering in an illustration.
The article was a super interesting read as well. Lots info about the history of the dessert that I’d never heard before.
