LIVE

My wife and I fantasize about swapping but thats as far as we’ve gone. We have been to strip clubs together in Vegas and gotten lap dances. Next time in Vegas, thinking of suggesting we go to Red Rooster or similar club if only to watch. She is sensitive about being overweight. What can we expect at RR, etc?

We get asked a lot about swinger clubs and any answer we give always includes a reference to the Red Rooster in Las Vegas.  We would like to make separate posts about different clubs, so we will speak in general here about the other locations, and focus mostly on what the Rooster is like.  For a quick overview, check out the website: http://www.vegasredrooster.com/

(Let’s stop for just a moment and make mention of how much fun Tony and I have at Vegas strip clubs.  Usually I am wearing a scandalously low-cut top, revealing my, ahem, ample bosom.  Basically, my boobs attract strippers like moths to a flame: they are mesmerized.  This is great for me, because I end up with eager breasts in my face while we compare assets.  In general, strippers will respond to confident women in the club quicker than the standard male patron.  Use that to your advantage!)

Back to the Rooster.  An evening at the Red Rooster would be a suitable introduction to a swinger club.  However, be prepared.  It is the oldest lifestyle club in Vegas, and, as such, may look dated to some.  We have always had a great time when we attend parties at RR, but we also really enjoy its quirky, 80’s feel.  We love it’s fun pool, too.  RR is open seven days a week, which means you can check it out at any time you might be visiting.  Earlier in the week attendance is low.  Plus, there are no attendance restrictions on single men at RR parties, which means there will be more of them Sunday through Thursday.  This can feel a little awkward to the uninitiated.  However, to get a feel for a real party, you would want to attend on a Friday or Saturday night—the busiest (and most accurate)nights of the week.  This is when the Couples Only area upstairs is open.  Don’t be scared.  :)  It can be overwhelming, but you can tell the staff you are new to the scene and they will be more than happy to give you a tour of the club and go over the rules and guidelines.  Because RR is open seven days a week and is also open to single men, the procedure is different than it would be for a member’s only club.

Members Only clubs require memberships because they usually do not allow single men to attend.  In addition, if you are new, they will require you to go through an orientation, not only to their club location and rules, but to lifestyle etiquette in general.  Couples Oasis is the local members club in Las Vegas.  Please visit their website and give them a look.  www.couplesoasis.com  It’s more of a commitment to check it out (you have to pay to be a member, and then you have to pay to attend a party—but this is standard), and you will only encounter true lifestyle couples there (as opposed to the random singles at RR).  We have been, and found the facilities to be nice and the people friendly.

It is always okay to just go to these places and watch.  You do not have to participate in any sexual activity if you do not want to.  Sometimes it takes a few visits before couples are able to feel comfortable enough to “jump in.”  :)

Finally, I want to address your wife’s concerns about being overweight.  This is a very common concern for newbies, and one I have covered in a previous post:  Ask a Swinger: Am I Too Fat?

Regardless of what you choose to do, keep up the hot fantasy talk, and remain connected and tuned in to each other.  Swinging is one of the most rewarding components of our lives together because it involves honesty and a continual renewal of our love and commitment to each other.  Do let us know how your next trip to Las Vegas goes!

Happy Swinging!
