Ruby redesign. It’s sort of a revamp of an old redesign I did a long time ago. I wanted to give her a mechanic look while being still cute looking I guess???
Also made an alt version with a skirt underneath instead of shorts.
I had sketched out this “what-if” redesign for Yuffie shortly after FF7:Remake’s release. So whenever I saw the recent trailer, I couldn’t help opening this old PSD & finishing it.
Katara’s hanbok is based on winter clothes of Joseon. The vest-like top is called teol-beja(털배자, sleeveless clothes with fur). Under it, she is wearing a skirt and jeogori, which is the basic form for women’s hanbok.
Zuko’s hanbok is a ‘gonryongpo(곤룡포, dragon robe), which is a robe worn by the king and the heir to the throne. The gold patterns on his chest and shoulders are called hyoongbae(흉배). The king’s has a dragon with five claws on each foot, and the crown prince’s has a dragon with four claws instead. Zuko has the king’s in this drawing.
Note: the red of the robes and the gold dragon pattern are historically accurate, but I changed the color of the clothes’ lining, belt/pumdae(품대), and shoes to fit fire nation colors better.
