《I might post the alternate color palettes I played around with later, but here’s my favorite one. Also might do a pre-Egypt one later. Vague explanation of my choices below the cut…Please send more, this was so much fun!!!》

《Hair: Alright, so I actually really love questionable asymmetrical hairstyles, but if I were designing Kak, I would have kept a more consistent length and done it as sort of an updo. I’m biased though since I have a heavy love of vintage.

Face and body: I pretty much kept the same specs as Araki, just in my style. Kak is an intelligent pretty-boy artist type, so having him be slim with a nice face didn’t change. I possibly made his lashes longer and irises larger? And I suppose I made his lips a bit softer…I kept the scarring on his eyes pretty much as is since I like how it looks and it makes sense.

Stand: Hierophant is the same because I love Hierophant lol

Clothes: The two main things that drive me crazy are his inconsistent earrings (and the fact that they don’t look enough like cherries imo) as well as the fact that after getting his eyes treated he still is in his school uniform in the middle of Egypt because…..? I like messing with clothing a lot so that’s not what I would have done, and this is a redesign so I have to change things even if I think Kak is perfect. Anyway, earrings are more cherry-like, and I wanted to keep the motif throughout his clothes. I also missed his scarf that he had when he was introduced, so I added two of them because JJBA is about overkill. I also changed his sunglasses because his original ones are literally meme ones and the same pair Karamatsu wears…Not that horn-rimmed sunglasses are much better. The overall outfit concept was basically just vintage archaeologist, but I think it suits him.

Colors: I tried to keep basically his same color palette of green, yellow, red, and purple accent because I like it a lot. Basically, I just tried to keep it cohesive and recognizable, if not a bit more retro Egyptologist aesthetic.

So…How’d I do?》
