Song of the Day/JUMPSUIT of the Day: “It’s Gonna Take a Miracle” (live at Reggae Sunsplash) by Deniece Williams, 1981

This was my JAM! Niecey was always a bit conservative in the clothing department, and more power to her, not everyone could be Chaka Khan. But DAMN, she really brought her A-game for Sunsplash in ‘81, que no? That jumpsuit means serious business, and the sweat on her brow shows us how hard she was working it!

Marley Performs A Historic Show At Reggae Sunsplash:

Reggae Sunsplash was a Jamaican concert festival. It attracted people from all over the globe to enjoy multiple days and nights of reggae music. Bob Marley’s performance was priceless/epic/amazing/historic a true one of a kind performance. The show featured never before or after live versions of “Hypocrites”, “Blackman Redemption”, “Rastaman Live Up” and also played for the first time live “Ambush in the Night”. This show also features a Rare live “Who The Cap Fits”.  It would be his only appearance at Reggae Sunsplash but defiantly went out with a bang.

Bob Marley Plays A Football Game In Bazil 1980:

Bob Marley visited Brazil in 1980 from March 18th until March 20th. The principal reason was to promote the launch of the Ariola label in Brazil.

On Wednesday, March 19th, in the afternoon, a Football game was organized with Bob Marley, Junior Marvin, Jacob Miller, Toquinho, Chico Buarque and Paulo César against Alceu Valença, Chicão (from the Brazilian band Jorge) and 4 other people from the Brazilian recording scene and Bob’s team won 3-0.
