Adoption fees are 50% off (this week only)!

We are celebrating Mother’s Day in the best way! We are cutting adoption fees in half for all babies that are picked up this week. Check out the lineup because there are a ton of adorable faces waiting to meet you

Millie - Approximately 8 months old (she has been with us for 3 months now). She was the first rescue momma we took in after starting back up as a rescue. She came to us the day before she gave birth. She has been available for adoption for over a month now and she keeps getting stood up. She is such a sweetheart and has intro’d well with all other females (ranging from 3 months old to 7 months old) in our home. This week only adoption fee - $8

Coreopsis & Geranium (Corey & Jerry) - Approximately 2 months old. Corey loves to play & Jerry loves to snuggle (he bruxes & boggles when given a good scritch). They are a bonded pair from our last rescue litter and must be adopted together. This week only adoption fee - $17 for the pair

Marshmallow’s Sweethearts - These babies are 5 & ½ weeks old and almost everyone has been cleared to go to their new homes! They are fully weaned, properly socialized, maintaining their weights, and happy as can be. (Two pups are not yet available and are marked as such on the pictures. One male was our little runt so he is staying back to receive some extra TLC and one female is recovering from an injury.) This week only adoption fee - $10 per rat (must be adopted in groups of 2 or more)

Let us know if you have any questions and feel free to reach out at anytime to schedule a pickup. Local meetup in King George, VA. Further discounts may apply for large group adoptions.

I have been very inactive for the last weeks. My last boys got older, weaker and I decided to take a break from owning rats after the last two, Archimedes and Dante, were gone. Now they’re 2,5 and 3 years old and live in a flat cage for seniors, because they have problems using their legs. The vet also found tumors inside their bellies, so they don’t have lots of time left. They get pain killers and will live as a senior duo as long as they get along well.

But as my big cage got empty, I found these six sweethearts looking for a new forever home. I fell in love immediately, so they moved in yesterday. So obviously no ratty break for me. Instead I am blessed with these amazing rescue boys, who are roundabout one year old.
Meet Ruben, Rembrandt, Raffael, Rousseau, Robespierre and Ramses

Yesterday I noticed Squirrel breathing hard and it felt like he’s lost some weight. My vet couldn’t take him today so I called a million vets and emergency vets to see if anyone 1) accepted rats and 2) could get him in. I finally found one. They did an x-ray and his lungs were basically almost full of fluid. She said she thought it was probably organ failure (this is the exact thing that happened to Moose two months ago). We had to put my poor dude to sleep. My husband wasn’t with me, so we video chatted and he got to say goodbye that way. We weren’t expecting the news to be that bad.

Goodbye, Squirrel ❤️
