Happy to finally post this! was contemplating on this for quite awhile since there was no RinShi Day yet, that it’d be worth choosing a date and having one annually each year!
since June 4th 2009 was when chapter 3 of Blue Exorcist was released, which is when Shiemi was introduced and Rin met her, it felt like the perfect date to choose for RinShi Day since it’s the beginning of not just them - but also the moment we got to connect with them too!
there’s no prompts required to follow, as always: fanart, fanfics, cosplays, edits, headcanons, etc! however you wanna participate is up to you!

↳ wanted to add these pages today because I have something extra to add (and feels off without this page first)
in some Jump SQ thing years ago I got this booklet of sketch versions of pages and stuff Kato did and I wanted to add the one from ch83
Shiemi’s facial expression from the sketch one I particularly love, because it shows even more the relief she felt when Rin reassured her that no matter what their friendship won’t change and I find that beautiful, it’s a scene that I love already but this version of the page adds a little something to it.
just a little reminder post that I’m holding an interest check for RinShi Week 2022 and I’d really appreciate any RinShi shippers filling out the form! we have about 30 responses so far and they have been very positive! I plan to keep it going about 2 weeks (maybe three?) to give others a chance to see it and determine the direction to go!
typically I’ll be posting updates over @rinshi-feels but wanted for my reminder post to do here this time!

this one was rather close on whether a Full Week or Weekend/Three Day long event was preferred, but with 53.5% for a Full Week, the event will be a seven day event.
☀️what month do you think would work best for the event to start?
the majority of votes chose July-August, so RinShi Week will take place somewhere in this time frame.
☀️what theme would you like to go with?
based on the vote results seems the theme will be “amixture ofall” so will focus on choosing a variety of options to choose from.

46.5% said they’d participate as Illustrators, 32.5% said they would as Writers, 72.1% said Supporters of Others/the event, 27.9% said Othercategory, while 4.7% said N/A.

with 2022 here, I’d like to start on the process of planning RinShi Week for this year and I’d like to ask all RinShi / Rin x Shiemi fans help in the process!
previous years I’d setup RinShi Week and all planning through @rinshiweek but as we are a smaller fandom I think it’ll be best I host all future events here and we’ll reblog all info/content over there! but all major things will be here from now on to make things easier!

I really don’t care for that term (because the bad meaning that friendzoned has, and Rin is far from friends with Shiemi just so he can date her, he cares for her as a friend too regardless of if she ever requited his romantic feelings for her too)
but it is very much worth noting that Rin’s feelings are far from unrequited, I’m guessing you aren’t caught up with the manga which fair! but would like to say there has been much development on Shiemi’s side and where her feelings lie towards Rin too! just it’s a very slowburn relationship and Shiemi’s new to friendships let alone figuring out where she might stand when it comes to more and figuring out she’s slowly been falling in love
I don’t wanna spoil if you aren’t caught up so I won’t add any manga pages from past this point in this post, but I will link a post I made on my Top 5 Rin/Shiemi scenes that does have spoilers in case you do wanna see what I mean/are okay looking at spoilers!
