BREAKING NEWS!
The fantastic Rochat came today to deliver our new etching press! It’s fair to say we are over moon and were practically salivating at the sight.
They came early this morning in the sweltering heat and worked their socks off until all the cogs and nuts & bolts had been fitted. Then the guys gave it good old grease and a polish and it was good to go.
This one is a beauty. It’s smooth & silent and we cannot wait to see her in action!
Hats off to David and Phil who did a grand job today and will be returning on Friday with some more new equipment - keep your eyes peeled!

We’re lucky enough to have some swish new equipment to show you at our Summer Open Studio this Thursday! Iincluding two new Kippax Vacuum Tables, a brand new Rochat Albion press, a Rochat Etching Press and a Risograph printer.
Throughout the evening, you’ll get the opportunity to learn more about different printmaking processes and the chance to pull your own print with the assistance of our ELP artists.
From 7pm we’ll have print demonstrations from four of our artists at ELP.
Artist, printmaker and ELP tutor Jamie Temple will be taking you through the process of linocut. A fun and accessible technique that will surely get you excited by printmaking. He’ll be printing on our brand new Rochat Albion press from 8pm.

This beautiful Rochat etching press was delivered to ELP just two weeks ago. Two gents from Rochat spent the hottest day of July on record putting this beauty together. You can check out their progress here.
We’re so excited to be able to share this with you and you’ll be able to come and use it during open access and our courses too!
