Hi All -

So… after some thinking… and even some soul-searching, I’ve decided to leave Tumblr.

I love this community. I love the content I’ve made. I love reblogging all the content that YOU’VE made.

But these days, posting on Tumblr is more frustrating than enjoyable. Every single one or my posts gets flagged and I have to appeal every single one. I have people messaging me every day that they can’t see my blog anymore because of the NSFW label. I’ve had to resort to sharing via Google Drives, even for reblogs that other people have posted without issue. And while, yes, my blog still exists, all this has really put me off to making more content. Even though I really want to.

My Discord has also been disabled and I’m fighting to get back in. And even when I can live share, half the people can’t hear me because Discord is stupid. I will probably end up deleting that, as well.

I believe someone/some people have also been targeting me, both here and on Discord, to get me flagged and/or banned.

It’s just too much. I no longer enjoy making content.

My Google Drive links will still be available. I will no longer accept donations from Venmo.

Maybe in the future, I’ll come back with cool stuff… maybe we can make a new site just for us! I love you all. You’re pretty awesome.

I’m so sorry to hear this. It’s very sad news for me personally and the community at large because you’ve been an amazing contributor.

I have to admit, I’d also wondered if you were being targeted. The flagging has been so persistent and bizarre, and so unresponsive to changes you’ve made that it just doesn’t make sense. If that trash person is reading this, please reflect on what it says about you that you are harassing someone you’ve never met… on the basis of what? Some perceived slight or flaw? You should, in all sincerity, seek therapy, because I hate to think what you’re doing to people in your real life.

Blue, you deserve better than you’ve gotten here. I’ll miss your presence and beautiful heartbeat (and will secretly hope that you decide to come back eventually ) but I wish you all the best. ❤️

Does anybody else get legitimately worried when a fanfic author who was updating regularly just suddenly disappears with no warning? Like, is it a serious case of writers block or are they in a coma? Did they just up and quit? Was it me? Were my reviews not good enough?! Did they die ?! Were they kidnapped? Do I need to file a missing persons report? Excuse me officer, there’s been 13 weekly updates and now nothing for months! Find them! What’s their name?! Name!? I don’t know their name but they write 3k+ chapters and I need them safe and back in my life!

Sir, that’s my emotional support fanfic author.

Officer: i’m sorry, but you can’t file this person missing.

Me: you don’t have all the facts.

Officer: which are?

Me: i love them.

So, painful story, but I’ve really needed to tell it for a while.

My best friend, the woman I loved for 13 years, was a fic writer in the middle of an especially long piece. She updated on a schedule and had for years. She had a small, but loyal following.

And then she died out of nowhere. One day we were laughing, the next she was in a coma, 3 days later she was dead. She hadn’t been ill and to this day we don’t know what took her. She was just gone.

I knew she had friends all over the world so I went into her email to see if I could find addresses and notify people after a week of blind grief. In her inbox were about a dozen concerned messages from her readers. I cried. I cried and cried and I responded to all of them, telling people she had passed.

And the messages kept coming. Those people spread the word and message after message came in, most of them addressed to me now, as I had given those original readers my contact info. There were words of comfort and grief and just every emotion imaginable in that scenario. I wrote back to them all, thanking them and comforting them.

For months after she died, during the worst of my grief, I had those messages. I had those people. And they had me. I really think I might not have made it to the other side without them.

So, the fact that you care? That you think of them? That these authors who became a presence in your world are missed when they aren’t there? It means something very real. On the off chance that the author did die? Anyone who has seen this post will find comfort during the loss of their friend or family member, knowing that you all exist. That they aren’t alone. That you CARE that the world now lacks their loved one.

So, yeah. I’ve seen this post and ones like it for years and wanted to share this story. I finally could today.

Something similar happened in one of my fandoms. The author had been so well-known in the 2000s that a lot of headcanons came from her.

I had a Puerto Rican reviewer who said she literally was using the minutes before complete hurricane lockdown to read the latest chapter of a story I was writing because she knew it was the last really great thing that was going to happen to her for awhile.

I haven’t heard from her since.

I still pray she’s okay.

So this happened to a Member of the @markiplierand@therealjacksepticeyecommunity.

I know people have been worried and confused when @melissatregliaaka@hellgod-dark suddenly blipped off of all social media. I was as well because she was a very close friend whom of which I had spent hundreds of hour’s in Discord VC and DM’s talking to.

After almost a year of no contact or response from her anywhere I began searching Google for information. It took me a few month’s but I found my answer. (Information has been blacked out to protect her family’s privacy.)

I could not and still can’t believe it’s real. I cried for days and I’ve had this queued to post for a long time now. I will be making a more formal and personal post on my Tumblr in the near future. (As of right now I’ve got some personal medical issues to deal with and will be off social media for an extended period of time.)

Just remember to take care of yourselves and be kind to each other as much as possible.
