✨ Eternal Sailor Mars! and Eternal Sailor Neptune! ✨
Although I’ve had the manga canon in mind while working on this fanart series (past pics if you’ve missed them!: 1,2,3) but when it came time to think about which senshi pair I’d draw next… it just had to be these two. And the reason for that is not their manga iterations, but that classic episode at the beginning of Sailor Moon Sailor Stars where Mars and Neptune have to team up and work together. IMO it’s one of the most memorable episodes from Stars, and I just love it so much, it makes me wish we got more interaction between them. Neptune is basically the kind of person anime!Rei is trying to be… the dynamic is so perfect!
There’s a few things in this I’m not super happy about (I just kinda slapped down their shadows on the tiles in 30 seconds and maybe I shouldn’t have done that…) but I’m ready to just say it’s done now. I hope you like it ^o^

Eternal Sailor Jupiter and Eternal Sailor Saturn! ✨ ✨ ✨ Fellow gas giant besties!
We never really get to see Hotaru enjoying her life as a regular girl, although there’s more of that side of her in the manga. I always wanted to see her interact with the main team more in either version. Don’t you think she’d get along amazingly with Makoto? I feel like Makoto would totally adopt her. Mom #4!

it got to the point with this drawing that i needed to just say it was finished, so here it is and if we’ve got to have the bubble sleeves on the eternal fuku, i propose that they be actual, literal bubbles. like, made of magic or something.

In the original version of the manga, Sailor Jupiter’s first lighting attack did not have a name. It was given the name Jupiter Thunderbolt in the reprint of the manga, possibly to bring it in line with the attacks in the live-action series.
I finally got my hands on the beautiful Sailor Moon x Tokyo Metro Stamp Rally leaflet. This beautiful pamphlet was given to fans who participated in a Sailor Moon event, collaborated with the Tokyo Metro towards the end of 2017. Fans can go to different spots on the map using the metro, and get their little leaflet stamped.
What is really fascinating about this leaflet is on the GORGEOUS manga-style illustration of the Inner Senshi, on the back. If I’m reading the words correctly, it is basically announcing the long-awaited Sailor Moon Artbook Vol 1, which features the beautiful manga illustrations from the 90′s. It is also featuring that gorgeous cover illustration by Takeuchi Naoko! No publication date is printed on the leaflet, but I’m SO SO SO stoked! I can’t wait for the artbook!
