LIVE

Alright my loves, here i amn once again apologizing because I’m trash and I can’t write for like MONTHS at a time and suddenly I remember I have a second Tumblr. My recs are so far behind I don’t even know where I left off at so bare with me while I get around to spamming my recs.

A few things have changed since I last posted, and its just too much to get into but let’s sum it up by saying, I’m sorry and my fandoms are all over the place. I’ve got a Sons of Anarchy fic that needs posted but I also just finished an OBX fic that needs posted. I can’t promise I’ll always be on here but I CAN promise you can always get me on my main account, linked in the bio.

I’m sorry I’m crappy at keeping up with two accounts but I still love you guys!

I’m terribly sorry I haven’t been posting much, these last few weeks have been mega rough for me and I haven’t been able to write a single coherent thought, but now I think I have the problem under control and will be getting back on track and writing very soon! Please be patient with me, I love you all

I’m just going to throw my thoughts out here.

I’m seeing a lot of outrage from witches who refer to smoke cleansing as smudging (cultural appropriation) buy mass market tarot decks (commercialization) and don’t pay much mind to where their own practice comes from. Yes, the kits are problematic - but have you looked at your own practice? What cultures have you taken from? How have you commercialized your practice? Also - WITCHCRAFT IS NOT A RELIGION. It is a secular practice that has roots in many cultures over many years. Stop saying “You don’t see CHRISTIAN starter kits!” It’s not selling a religion.

And maybe this is a nice reminder of what it feels like to have something sacred “taken” (it wasn’t ours to begin with) and sold to the masses.

what truly drives me mad is that with big accounts on tiktok (and subsequently instagram) they’re like literally ALL trying to sell you something. which makes sense because those big accounts make their money by endorsing something - influencing, if you will - but i do miss the days where things were just fucking, like. you need a grocery list? use the back of a cut up recycled cereal box, not some expensive notepad. or exercise by putting on a pair of sneakers and running up some hills. go to a thrift shop instead of amazon. put a baby in a simple crib instead of one that shakes around and plays music. idk. just … simplicity? i miss that shit. every single human action and emotion seems like it needs a companion product now
