Dreaming of summer! 2 weeks to go til spring. Time to update your makeup! Flash back to summer in #mykonos #greece #santorini #FBF #summer #bronze #holiday #golden #bronzedskin #sunkissed
Today was about 10 degrees (f) colder and MAX WINDY which made climbing a mountain and hiking to a (different) fortress a precarious but not sweaty activity. (Thank gawd for my @sleepi.shop jacket!)
We were awarded with INCREDIBLE views of the caldera, a hidden gem church on a seemingly abandoned peninsula, and a glorious sunset!
Santorini remains one of the most unique places I’ve ever traveled to, and today I finally felt that isekai magic from 25 years ago again.
Sadly, the island is overrun with tourists now (hi, we’re some of them) so many sights are simply not as spectacular as they were a couple of decades ago.
BUT today we explored off the beaten path away from the top attractions and it was SO peaceful and tranquil!
Absolutely reminds you of why Santorini is considered by some scholars as the inspiration for Atlantis.
Tomorrow we go back to Germany for a few more days before we head to Basel, Switzerland for the kick-off of my 2022 summer con tour!
As I lay here about to go to sleep, I’m happy and sad at the same time! I will really miss Santorini
These two doges accompanied me all over Oia, Santorini. I named the one on the top Snowball and the one on the bottom Scruffy (super original, I know). From what locals tell me, these dogs all have collars and owners. Sometimes, during the off season, their owners return to the mainland and keep their dogs on the islands. Locals and business owners feed the dogs and look after them.
