Its that season again folks, this time in Glasgow, Scotland, when hundreds of well dressed and moneyed humans arrive to stay at high star joints like the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh or the Kimpton Blythswood in Glasgow - many/most via private jet accompanied by necessary entourages so that they can proceed for the next 14 days, like a fundamentalist mega-church conference on saving souls, to scold the world and lay down yet more one-dimensional collectivist proposals (propaganda) to “save the planet”.
Most of these initiatives of course, dependent on $ from the mostly NATO countries already contorting themselves to fulfill planet-wide mandates, while the biggest polluting countries say alot/do fuck-all as regards bearing the primary burden for this asinine moral pageantry that creates new perpetual bureaucracies (*orgs that are absolved of responsibility for actual effective outcomes following their beautiful proposals) w/ perpetual career benefits for yet another slough of managerial admin/brahmin castes who will be saving the planet forever until retirement or a holy grail appointment in Davos or the Hague.
Bonus: We’ll get to hear an obligatory sermon from an adolescent, funded & branded, oracle of Gaia!
Miss me with this bullshit that is only meaningful for moneyed classes in need of transcendent meaning in their lives as a cherry to put on the top of their lifestyle cakes.
p.s. Kimpton Blythswood in Glasgow is LIT tho and recommended as a place to stay next time ur back in jolly old!

I first came across the lovely #lowerslaughtermanor hotel years ago when booking a corporate event. Tucked away in the quintessentially pretty cotswolds village this is a gem of a reminder of time gone by. After visiting he national trudy property Hidcote we landed here for afternoon tea. Each unit includes all the same amenities as a hotel room and is 100% solar-powered, creating enough energy for air conditioning, lighting, refrigeration, and other appliances.
Pearlsuites are designed for Jet Capsule, an Italian water mobility brand whose vision is to bring the heights of road and air travel luxury to the water, sustainably. From the top-specs flagship version of Pearlsuites, to a simplified, open version for beach clubs, the concept intends to introduce a brand-new niche into the seaside hospitality market.
The floating suites would allow beach resorts to do the seemingly impossible: establish or expand their number of rooms in a matter of weeks, with zero carbon footprint, zero infrastructures, and zero land occupied, all at a low implementation cost.
The units are customizable and, if anchored, multiple units clustered together could become a floating resort.

Six Senses Svart, Holandsfjorden fjord, Norway,
The hotel is the first building to be designed and built after the highest energy efficiency standard in the northern hemisphere. It will harvest enough solar energy to go back into the system, covering the hotel, adjacent operations, boat shuttle, and the energy needed to construct the building – rendering it independent from the power grid.
Such energy-positive buildings could deliver 89 per cent of the 45 per cent decrease in emissions required to reach the scenario where global warming is limited to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
As such, Six Senses Svart is the northernmost implementation of the Paris Agreement, demonstrating that carbon neutrality can be not only feasible in a sophisticated development at an eco-sensitive site, but can also be profitable.
It will also be self-sustaining, complete with its own waste and water management, recycling, and renewable infrastructure. The team will work with existing sustainable fishing and farming operations and engage local like-minded suppliers for the restaurants and bars.
Designed structurally by Snøhetta, the 94-key Six Senses Svart will combine a futuristic design, led by interior design studio, Space Copenhagen.
