“My Queen…” Cheer’s voice lacks its usual melody as she glances up to her wife’s throne.
"I know.“ Dreamweaver cuts her off, placing a hand on her shoulder for a moment. "But this is too precious of an opportunity to pass on.” “They will use this. You know they want to harvest you for your blood."
Cheer is almost pleading now, but she bites her lower lip and composes herself. "At least let me protect you.”
The Portal’s glow brightens the chamber as Dreamweaver rises from her throne.
She turns back to address her wife before stepping through. “No. You must stay with our people. If something does happen to me, you will need to take the throne.”
